Recurrent miscarriage, including a PGS euploid embryo: help! Ideas needed.

I wasn't quite sure where to post this as it's semi-infertility, semi-pregnancy-loss. But I figured that since it discusses high tech ways of getting pregnant, this was its home.

I have an odd obstetric history. 3 miscarriages in my early twenties, no cause ever found. 3 successful pregnancies. All of the aforementioned pregnancies were spontaneous. Then decided to try our luck for number 4, at age 34.

Since Sept 2017 I have had 3 more miscarriages - I'm now 36. The first loss was spontaneously conceived, but then ... nothing for months. We did testing after 6 months and found DH's sperm count was extremely low, and morphology 0%. Wholesale lifestyle change has improved it but still no more spontaneous conceptions. In August 2018 I went to Serum in Greece and had a round of IVF. I miscarried at 6 weeks, and the subsequent FET was negative.

Fast forward to December 2018 and I did a round of IVF with PGS at a London clinic - got 4 genetically normal embryos. I became pregnant from the first FET with the best embryo, but it appears that I am now losing this one too.

I have had every test under the sun - the only area that I haven't really ventured into is reproductive immunology as it's so controversial and expensive. My karyotype and DH's is fine, uterine structure good, no clotting disorders (although my current consultant has had me on heparin and aspirin anyhow).

I have 3 euploid embryos that could result in 3 more losses but I'm not sure I can bear it. I had such incredibly high hopes for the pregnancy I'm currently losing as hcg was really good at the start but now clearly failing :( I can't help but think that my body is essentially assassinating embryos. Deep down I had always hoped that previous losses were just chromosomal flukes but certainly this one is much less likely to be.

Any ideas / guidance / commiseration would be very welcome.

I’m so sorry to hear about your losses. Have you ever tried prednisolone? I have been given it for my IVF cycle in case my NK cells are high (have an autoimmune condition making that more likely) which can interfere with implantation. I haven’t been officially tested because the immune tests are £££

@BottomleyPottsSpots2 I know this is a very old thread but I'm going through the same right now and wondering if you ever had success with the other euploid embryos?

Hello - I cannot believe I never updated this thread. I was clearly in a complete state writing it as I genuinely cannot remember doing so. Apologies for leaving it hanging.

The pregnancy I thought I was losing is now sleeping in his nursery, aged almost 3 years. The bHCG values slowed a bit and then sped up - resulting in a healthy baby boy induced due to pre-eclampsia.

We decided not to use the additional embryos ourselves but donate them - too early to know whether they worked for the people we donated to though, fingers and toes crossed.
