Hi I'm 19 and live in the U.K.

3 months ago my doctor prescribed me clomid to conceive. Here's how it went

Month one - nothing happened

Month two- ( higher dose) ovulated but no pregnancy

Month three - nothing happened.

Today is my check up appointment. Could I ask for ivf or something else? Or should I stick to clomid for a couple more months.

Also anyone in the U.K. is it true that we get 3 rounds of ivf for free?

Hi @cmiddlwton they'll talk through next steps with you and suggest ivf if they think that's the next step for you.
It isn't true about three free rounds of ivf, unfortunately it depends on where you live. I get one free round, some people don't get any at all but this will be told to you if you are referred for ivf.
Hope your appointment today goes well.

Thanks for your reply @DaisyMay25 , I live in Surrey. Do you think I'll be able to get any for free?

I'd be shocked if after only 3 months of clomid you were referred for IVF at age 19.

I haven't been aware of any CCG funding IVF for anyone of your age, you are best to call them and ask

Also don't you have a 15 year old daughter? Is your age a typo? If so the other issue is most CCGs won't fund if you already have a child
