Hi all, I’ve read a lot on here about buying ivf meds. I’m due to start NHS ivf soon but just wondering do I need to buy my own meds or will they provide them? Just thinking if we need to put money aside for them. Thanks

Just before the ivf cycle starts I recommend getting a prepaid prescription card (pays for all prescriptions for three months is about £27). You will be charged the normal rate per prescription otherwise.

My clinic kept getting me for 'one more day' of gonal f and cetrotide. It was a pleasant experience not to need to shell out money every day when my hopes, fears and life was in tatters... maybe that's just me!!

I have just had an ivf cycle on the NHS and all of my drugs were included. They were posted to me after my initial consult.

All included for me as well and they will deliver to my house as well but I guess it depends on clinics?

Thanks everyone. Was just thinking I would be paying £100s. Great tip about the prepaid card if I have to pick them up myself x
