Hi all

I have just been to consultant and am being referred to IVF. I am also in the process of being made redundant so looking for a new job. .. obviously fantastic timing! To people who have had IVF, how much time out of your day does it take up? Just wondering whether to apply part time, full time etc

Thanks in advance!

Hiya,

I'm currently in the process is starting but hoping to fit it all within work. My scans I'll arrange for early morning and go to work after. Egg collection I booked off as annual leave and ET I might take it off as sick. If you will be sharing with your workplace I'm sure you may be able to take it as medical leave. My work place is quite flexible so I can work from home and take medical leave. Going part time might be an overkill :)

Hi Kay, thanks for your reply! I don't think I'll share with work, current job is pretty flexible but I don't talk about my private life much, and now will have to be getting a new job I don't think i should mention it in as if affects probation etc... Just work stuff happening at the wrong time! I will prob stay full time and like you say, use annual leave when needed,

Thanks again!

You're welcome and wishing you all the best luck. If you are starting a new job then I wouldn't tell them either. Hopefully you can use your annual leave and sick days if needed

Lots of clinics also have 8am appointments so if you work nearby should be ok. Definitely need egg collection day off and some women might need more off if get overstimulated. I went to work day afterEC and was fine

I think you should get sick paid for egg collection and they put you under sedation but ET is quite simply procedure.I will call sick for my ec for sure.my boss who know everything about it she just resigned and I am dreading about new boss but at the end of the day this is my priority!!
