So had my laparoscopy on Thursday and they found tube blocked, endometriosis scar tissue and said I will only be able to get pregnant through ivf. It's just a rant really as life is so fu**ing unfair I feel like I can never catch a break. I don't know how I'm going to deal with this or be around friends baby's and them being pregnant Confused

@Maximoo06 I’m so sorry you’re in this position. It’s a horrible feeling being told you need IVF.

We are just filling in our forms at the moment to see if we can get ivf funding. I’m only just (after 2 years of infertility And an ectopic) starting to feel positive and I think that’s because we now have a plan of action.
I’m still struggling around babies and the pregnant woman in my office (I tend to avoid them) but i’m Getting a bit better and less sad. Needing ivf is shitty but at least I feel we have an option and a chance at this.

Xxx 💐

It is unfair- all of it is shit and I think I need to learn to just agree and say no more from there. But... I'm a very annoying optimist and always have to look on the bright side. So I'd say:

  1. It's great you know the reasons why- it means you can tackle it when/if you feel able

  2. I feel lucky to live in a time where ivf technology exists - In the past I'd just have been 'barren' - end of

  3. There is still some funding on NHS (although lots about this is shit and unfair)

  4. other people having children doesn't change my situation at all

But overall it is just crap and not fair when people get pregnant accidentally or have had 2 children in the time you've been unsuccessfully trying. So cry, rant, sulk, drink (cuz you can!) and look after yourself. See if you can access any councelling if you feel it would help- it's been offered to me at every stage.

@maximoo06 you are not alone. I’m in exactly the same boat and you’re right, it is shit. Sending hugs.

Thank you everyone Thanks

I know I should look at the positive sides but it's so hard I just wanted 1 thing to work out for me.

It's shit and I feel for you so much but you will get through it, I was in the same situ severe endo meant I would only get pregnant with IVF but once you get your head round it and have a plan in place you will feel much better. Some of us just have to go the long way round to start a family Thanks
