ovulation tests for FET

I'm thinking of using the Clear Blue ovulation kits (with smiley face) to test in preparation for my frozen embryo transfer later this month.

Hospital have given me no guidance on which kits to use but I figure seeing a smiley face will be more definitive. But the Clear Blue kits identify your two most fertile days, so which would be the day of ovulation?

I really don't want to get this wrong!

Hi. Sorry you’re confused and clinics not been clear. I don’t think you have to know when you’re ovulating for an fet. They’re going to give you an injection 21 days after 1st day of your period to stop any eggs developing (or something like that) then on the 5/7th day you’ll get a fake period and then on the 14th day you’ll go in for a check up of your ovaries and your womb lining.
I’m starting mine when I get my period. I’ve had 2 already, 1 of them was successful and I got a 9 month baby girl Smile

Thanks Bananacloud I need to know as I am having a non-medicated frozen cycle (thought I'd mentioned that in my OP but clearly not!) So I need to contact the hospital when I get the LH surge but am taking no medication, it just follows your natural cycle (as long as your body does what it's supposed to do!) and they put the embryo back 7 days after ovulation.

Oh ok. Yeah so I once used a smiley face clear blue monitor and they’re really good.
But I thought the smiley faces are an indication of you ovulating...? Am I wrong...? Blush

Hey @ohbigdaddio that’s bad they haven’t guided you! My hospital gave me the clear blue smiley and told me to contact them when got the surge/smiley. I’m also on non medicated cycle and my first FET it’s usually 7 days from the smiley face 😀

I've had two non medicated FETs in the last few months. I had a day ten scan then just contacted them when had a positive for ovulation.

I used clear blue AND cheap Amazon ones and tested about 4 times a day as scared to miss it- has cost me a fortune! I contacted clinic with my surge day when I got a solid smiley.
