Hey everyone, so glad I've found you again!

Sorry your out this month SLady.

I've been in no mans land in between Clomid cycles for the past 6 weeks as I didn't ov on 50mg but Ive been taking 100mg and had a scan this morning. I've a nice big follie and thick lining (mmm lovely!) so I'm hopeful for a good month! And it's from my right side, which I thought had given up producing so today is a good day.

Checking in!!

AF was due on Monday just gone. I tested on Sunday and it was negative. Still no sign of AF. Can’t decide if I should test again this weekend, or wait for AF to arrive of her own accord!

@Alicejj8x good luck with the metaformin. It has really helped me. My cycles were quite long and irregular, now 35 days so not too bad. I think if you make sure to take it right before your meal, you shouldn't have any side effects. A doctor in the past told me that it takes a little while to get used to it but it's absolutely fine. And he was 100% true. My stomach was ok after a few days. Have had a positive ovulation stick for a couple of months now :( Going back to the gym in a couple of weeks should hopefully help.

Good luck on the Metformin; I take mine lunchtime, dinner time and just before bed so it means I've something in my stomach before I start taking them!

Thank you everyone

I've taken my second tablet tonight and touch wood no side effects so far!!

I take ..
500mg once a day for 2 weeks then it goes to 2x a day for 2 weeks then 3 x a day for 3 months!

I am
Hoping it will regulate my periods as mine are once every 3 months so annoying! I shall keep you all posted how it goes :) and hope that it works for me as we are ttc

They told me to take mine in the middle of dinner or just after and the same with breakfast and lunch when it comes to that.

I'm glad it has worked for you and shortened your cycles I'm glad to know it works as I've heard a few stories saying it's not good or it doesn't work etc so good to hear the positives of it

I'm not TTC (have 2 children and after 18 months of trying for 3rd I'm happy to accept my lot and stop)

But I want to know what is best to treat PCOS symptoms - long cycles, oily skin and painful spots, obesity mainly!

Found the new thread....thanks for setting up @Sunny

@SLady oh that's shit...sorry AF got you. Sounds like normal cycle though as AF showed up naturally? Fingers crossed for Dec!!!

I am due on any day. Not feeling confident at all this cycle and already thinking of taking December off from the clomid. Just want to have a drink and not feel bloody guilty!!

I've also bought some inofolic so will start as soon as it arrives. I really need to lose some weight too as i am sure this plays a big part but i am such an emotional eater, as soon as i feel stressed i eat!!! Spent the day with my friend and her gorgeous squishy 7 week old baby, my ovaries now ache! Surly one of us is due some sodding good news soon!!! xx

No they don't know why my cycles are short
But he said my cycle averages out around 35 I think!
I'm guessing they'll put it down to weight (as always)
I've got to have a load of bloods done and go back in three months
He said he could check and flush my tubes but I'm too heavy for that at the moment?!

Have you tested yet amy? Hoping it's good news for you.
I thought about taking a break over Christmas too. I have so many Christmas parties and dinners. It's impossible not to drink and impossible to eat healthily! But I decided not to in the end as it could be ages before I got a natural period again and I'm not sure how true it is that the Clomid builds up in your system which helps.
Yes I had a natural AF so hoping that means I ovulated. 32 days (which is the norm for me, when I do get a natural AF anyway!). Interestingly I had a 32 day cycle on my first round of 100mg although my second round of 100mg showed 1 progesterone at cd21. Perhaps I'm a late ovulater?

CD3 for me today....and so it begins again!!

Ladies, can I join? I have PCOS and have one 21month old DD. Conceived using Metformin, although I was only on it 6 weeks before I conceived (only tried for 12 in total so was so lucky) so I don't know if it was sheer dumb luck or the Metformin.

Now back on Metformin for management of PCOS (skin and weight mainly) rather than conception but am looking to conceive next year. Can I ask - how do you know if you've actually ovulated? I've had a period every month (varying cycles 27-33 days, by still every month) since DD was 12 weeks old but my Dr tells me you can have a period even if you haven't ovulated. Is this right?

@Mayhemmumma I have found Zinyert (prescription only) to work wonders for my acne! It's the only thing I've ever used that's worked. Stings a bit and does dry skin out after about a month (I take a week off every few weeks) but does the job for me. Also just washing with cheap antibacterial soap helps me too.

If your looking for something for your spots I use Mario badescu it's quiet expensive but really helps take the redness away and draws any white head out it does this by drying the spot out I can't recommend enough :)

So happy to hear someone conceived on Metformin! Atm I am on one tablet once a day then wi go to 2 tablets then 3 !!

Always good to hear positive stories :) good luck x

Hi Rabbits welcome to the thread! I don't think you can tell whether you've ovulated for certain without a blood test, but I'd say if you're having regular periods then chances are good.

Thanks @Confusion. I thought that would be the case. Let's hope so hey!

I wasn't trying to be insensitive but the way, posting on an infertility board when clearly I'm not infertile having already had a child. This thread was in active and I thought 'ooh, like minded people!' So sorry if I've offended anyone it wasn't intentional.

Any newbies to Metformin I might be able to help with any questions, I'm an old hat at it these days.

Hey Rabbits, don't worry about offending anyone, I have a child too (3 year old DS) so we're all going through different stories and have our own paths.

I'm CD14 and got my +ve ovulation test today so I'm hoping that my follicle has indeed popped!
