Evening all,
I found out today my FSH came back at 12 from the Cycle day 3 test - which was actually day 4 for me because of the weekend.

I'm getting results of AMH on Tuesday next week.

I've googled and depressed myself, is it really bad news? I have just found out I have hypothyroid high TSH and hashimotos too- so it's been an awful week- is there any chance it could improve once my TSH is under control (at the moment it isn't but in first few weeks of medication still).
Thank you for any experiences- good or bad- I just want to know what our odds and options are. Xxx

I don’t know much about the TSH, but my fsh was 12 age 34. I was told it would be hard to conceive as I had low ovarian reserve. The amh confirmed it. However, I got pregnant straight away but sadly it was a MMC.

I then did ivf and was Told it probably wouldn’t work because of my low ovarian reserve. However, it worked anyway even though I only got 2 eggs.

When ivf baby was 9 months old and I stopped breastfeeding I thought we’d better try again just in case: I had very very low expectations. I got a bfp 4 weeks later. I now have 2 boys with a 16.5 month age gap between them.

Point to take from this- if you have high fsh - yes you might have less eggs, but Egg quality is what counts when ttc; not quantity! All fsh and amh tells you is about quantity.

You'll need to get your TSH below 2 before you even think about TTC. The risk of miscarriage is too high if it's higher.

Well, at least you’ve been diagnosed. If the thyroid is the culprit in you not conceiving, then it could be possible to have a baby naturally as long as the thyroid is managed and you ovulate. I have 2 friends who conceived quickly after getting their thyroid sorted although they had hypothyroidism but not Hashimoto’s. FSH of 12 is high and means you might not get a gazillion eggs in ivf but then you don’t need a gazillion eggs + you might have a chance naturally.
