Starting to feel really down about infertility

Hope all you ladies are well.

2+ years trying, I don't ovulate, took unprescribed clomid didn't get pregnant
Hsg showed block right Fallopian tube, internal scan 7cm cyst ( now gone )

Had pre op last week for laparoscopy to investigate Fallopian tube,
Dr says he may need to remove it but if he can open it then he'll start clomid again. If not IUI or IVF

I'm 30 OH 36 I feel like it's never going to happen 😢

You have 15yrs to get this sorted OP. It sounds like they are actually finding problems which is more positive than finding no reason at all I think as they can do things to improve the situation or give you your options more clearly.

I hope things go better soon. Hang in there.

I suppose it is better than having unexplained infertility. Everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant! But I know that's same for all the ladies struggling to conceive. I was pregnant natrually in 2012 but mc at 8 weeks, then never become pregnant since, I'm wondering if the mc caused the block tube and other problems x

I'm not getting pregnant OP (well I did in June but mc at 5 weeks( So it's definitely not just you!

It is unbearably hardFlowers You have time on your side though and at least your doctors are taking action. I've been totally written off by NHS and they won't help me at all.

I'm sorry about your mc. It's a such a heartbreaking thing to go through. Wishing you all the best with your treatment.

Hi Hun,

It definitely is, some days I feel ok and look forward to them trying to start treatment etc but then other days I feel crap n and become depressed about it.

I'm so sorry I hear about your loss, it is heartbreaking. Why won't the nhs help you ? Which area in England are you from ? X

I know how you feel. It's really tough.
We have been ttc for nearly 2 years and nothing. I've got an appointment next month to see what the next step is as they can't find a reason why I'm not conceiving. It doesn't help that everyone around me seems to just look at their partner and falls pregnant. It is so unfair.

Good luck for your up coming procedure and keep coming on here. It really helps to talk about it.

I think swinging between hope and despair is a very natural part of infertility Sarah We'd go mad if we were down all the time after all. Sometimes it just hits you though no matter how hard you try.

I'm in SE London. Was been treated by Guys Hospital, but they cancelled by ivf at last minute as they said my FSH is at peri menopausal levels. They won't do anything else for me, so we're having to go abroad now (can't afford the prices in U.K.)

Really hope they can save your Fallopian tube for you. It all sounds horrifically stressful.

That's rubbish Hun, not fair at all what the nhs are doing. There's a really good fertility doctor in Jessops Sheffield that I know has helped infertile couples who have been turned down by the nhs, I think his name is dr Skull.

And thank you feisty little owl 💜💜 xx

Do people actually get "declared barren"?

I thought these horrible spammers had stopped. Biscuit

It's like when some AI system tries to learn the local language/lingo and then attempts to mimic a native speaker but can't quite get it right and therefore looks like a stupid, spamming cunt.

Stupid people, and it's disgusting, someone who's feeling desperate could try anything.

Glad it's been deleted x

You're 30! You have ages, please try not to panic Smile You're way further ahead of the game than lots of people who go down the IVF route.
And you potentially have a reason for your infertility, which means it can hopefully be fixed. You can't 'fix' unexplained/idiopathic infertility. And you've been pregnant before, which is a good sign.
You may or may not have a bit of a journey ahead of you with all this stuff but you have so much time!! Good luck! Smile
