Possible pcos?

Hi,
I suffered my second miscarriage 13 weeks ago and since then I've not ovulated. I've had three period type bleeds, one induced by Norethisterone in order to start clomid.
Prior to the miscarriage I had 26-29 day cycles and presumably ovulated every month. I have a 2 year old who I conceived very easily. 2 miscarriages since which were conceived first and third month of trying.
I've had my day bloods taken - fsh 6.1, lh 6 which my doctor said was normal.
However, my acupuncturist has said those figures point towards pcos as lh is quite high and should be more like 4 with a fsh of 6.1. She said clomid is highly unlikely to work for me and I need metformin.

Just wondering if anyone could give me any advice regarding my lh and fsh? Thanks

Your acupuncturist is incorrect. It's a 2:1 ratio or higher that might be indicative of pcos.

Sorry for you losses...

Do you have any other pcos symptoms? Hair? Weight gain? Polycystic ovaries?

Yes that's what I've read on google too....

Thanks.

No, no other symptoms. I had a scan 4 weeks ago before I was given clomid, consultant said my ovaries all look good so I'm sure she'd have seen anything untoward.
Thanks for replying xx

I agree the the FSH and LH ratio looks spot on. I'm sorry I can't really offer advice but I'd be pushing for more tests as it seems off that you haven't got your cycles back. Also, how likely is it that someone could develop PCOS suddenly when you were fine before and your FSH:LH ration is optimal? Perhaps they should investigate some other causes?

Thanks for the reply.
I kept thinking it doesn't sound right when I haven't suffered with it in the past.
I've been to see a fertility specialist who thinks my cycle needs a kick start so she gave me clomid. If this doesn't work I'll definitely be going back!
Everything returned to normal straight away after my first miscarriage, not sure if it's because I'm stressing about it so much!
Just after what the acupuncturist said I started to panic!!
