Hi - we are looking at doing IVF abroad after a failed cycle in the U.K. Does anyone have any recommendations for clinics? And how it all works?
I felt pretty daunted at the thought but now having read up on it, it looks simple and these clinics arrange everything for you.

We went to Klinnik Hausken in Norway. Amazing clinic, very high tech. They are using Embryoscope as a standard. It helps to select the best embryo.
We had a lovely holiday in Norway as it is so beautiful! At the end it didn't feel we were having a treatment. I got my BFP at the end! It's too early to say if it will turn to a live birth, but the clinic success rate is 50% for take home baby! Very high result for a live birth.
Good luck with choosing the clinic. X

IVI Alicante worked for us. Again they have an excellent success rate. Our gorgeous boy is now 2,5. Also benefit of getting cheaper flights and not too far from home, Good luck x

Thanks for that - Reprofit in Brno is my favourite at the moment as it's cheap and looks great.
Costing up a multi cycle round at CARE as well here and see what works our better!

We have just had a failed NHS cycle and are now looking into our next steps. Abroad is looking interesting but I'm confused about how long you will need to be over there for? From start to finish with scans etc previously I probably covered 3 weeks which feels very awkward for going abroad? Do people go for this long?

That's why we chose madrid. We flew in daily for some treatments and flew in day before for ec and came home following day and flew back out again for et

Tbh we did look at staying a few days but never start a cycle in oct as means ec/et are xmas /ny and hotels silly money. As we're flights

But cheaper to fly in twice then stay there at that time - plus didn't want to be away for ny

The fets we flew in and out on same day

We are both self employed so easier to get time off and no hassle wit bosses tho Obv means we don't get paid

Plus got scanned locally to us who then emailed results to our clinic

I can personally recommend reprofit in the Czech rep. We flew to Vienna which is a lovely place to sightsee round. Reprofit is clean and professional. Nice day trips to Prague. It's very cheap. And we have a gorgeous 7 month old after a first round of ivf. Good luck op

Just one trip, 6 days.
We arrived, the day later we had egg collection. Then we spent 4 days bumming round Europe (mostly Prague, Vienna etc) then went back for embryo transfer and we flew home the night after the transfer.

We used the holiday in Vienna as the cover story for what we were doing for a week. We didn't want to tell colleagues what we were up to.

We had a successful IVF treatments in Kiev.
We tried several clinics abroad, but no results.
We found the clinic only by recommendation. They have no intermediate agents. It's a doctors family owned clinic. The experience was great and successful.
They have really good results, working for a long time with Israel and US.
The prices are more than affordable. They have no big traffic of patients, it felt very private.
We highly recommend them.
It was stressful in the beginning to start with a new clinic, but since we started we were really happy with a choice.

hi I know this is an old post but I am looking at doing ivf abroad at the moment and would love to know how it all works, did you do your injections at home before flying out? and how were you monitored during that time? thank you xx

We got great results with Reprofit inBrno comparing to the clinic in the UK. Waiting for FET now. I would definitely recommend it for price and quality.

@Viletta - we're with Reprofit and waiting for FET - when is yours??!! Have you had a protocol through?

We were also very happy with the clinic and felt it was value for money and very straightforward as compared to our (not great) experiences (with 2 different clinics) in the UK

Ultimately, the fresh cycle did not work (last month) and waiting for a consultation with the doctor on how best to proceed with the frosties.
