DH won't take multivitamin

Been ttc for 18 months with not a hint of a pregnancy. I have had blood tests etc which can't find anything wrong and currently waiting for a referral for further tests.
DH has been on waiting for semen anaylsis for 6 months and still don't know when this will be happening.
I am already on pregnacare and thought I would get DH some wellman ones. I gave them to him and he made a big fuss about side effects and not wanting to take anything if it's unnecessary.
So far I have done everything in the quest to get pregnant. Is it really that difficult to take a multivitamin? Feeling a bit deflated.

How frustrating! Brazil nuts are great for sperm

For top sperm an ivf specialist advised 1000mg of soluble vitamin c twice a day.
Tell him if he won't take them you will assume he isn't serious about ttc.
Sperm cycle is 76 days so may take time to see results.
We conceived in the 3rd month ttc with ds. Only dtd twice in the whole month.

It's not a lot to ask but it's highly unlikely to do anything to help. Most of that stuff is just a money racket preying on people's hopes and worries. (For the record I also took them when ttcsmile But I don't see why he won't take them if it means so much to you.

I hope your tests can help you and that they happen quickly. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

That's unbelievable! Have a serious talk with him. If you're unexplained or mfi you'll be headed down the iui/ivf route and believe me the thought of being worried about the side effects of a multivitamin are simply laughable in comparison. If he's serious about having a baby then he'll have to participate and put some effort in. Good luck x

How much does he drink?

DH refused to take multivits (he's convinced they're pointless) but agreed to cut out alcohol after we'd been trying eighteen months. Massively improved his sperm count and solved our problems. He likes a whiskey mind you, it was a lot to cut out.

Has he really been on waiting list or isn't he wanting to have the tests?
What side effects? It's a vitamin. confused

He doesn't drink a lot, isn't overweight and lives a fairly healthy lifestyle.

He is definitely on the waiting list as I put him on it. I don't know if he is just feeling a bit weird about it all although he did mention getting semen analysis done privately to speed things up.

I really don't know what his problem is.

I can kinda see his point re vitamins if he's given them a shot before as myself and my partner don't respond well with vitamins. Both get quite jittery and dizzy. We tried halving them and only taking them at night as less active during these times. I've had to go on and off the pregnacare a few times due to side affects.
