Clomid and PCOS

Hi all lovely Ladies! I am after my first initial appointment with Fertility Clinic in Bognor. Apparently I might have PCOS and what they suggested is that I should start taking Clomid soon after I have had two more tests to finally confirm this. What is your experience with Clomid? Do you also have PCOS and take Clomid? Have you been successful with Clomid? Thank you!

Well, I have polycystic ovaries and took clomid. It was also a very stressful time, due to other things, not just the clomid, which made me feel a bit funny - sort of tense and headachey. Saw my Dr yesterday who has prescribed it again. I'm over 40 so hope it will work this time. Good luck with yours!

Thank you Harvestmum!

I have been told that ladies usually get pregnant after 3rd round of Clomid so good luck! I never take anything for granted. I have never thought that I might struggle to get pregnant as so far life has been good to me but hey I will never give up;-) I am 34 this year and will start taking Clomid after 2 more tests. I take it the next step will be IVF?

IVF is not the next step. IVF should only be tried after all other treatment avenues have failed.

You need a diagnosis first and foremost.

I have PCOS and was prescribed Clomid, I did two cycles then found out I was pregnant, and had an early scan which showed two very small sacs (twins) but unfortunately for me they didn't develop and I miscarried both at 8 weeks.

Good luck! X

I took Clomid. The cons were that it made me a bit hormonal- think excessive PMT, moody etc. The pros were my daughter, who is now 10. I highly recommend it! Good luck Flowers

Hi guys took a test this morning and it's looking good! Been on clomid nearly 9 months and think it's finally working, just praying it keeps getting darker.
