Hi

Doctors would like to refer me to specialist as my progesterone level is 1.

Problem the doctor told they might not take me on as my BMI is 31 and they will not accept.

I'm in a major pickle so stressed out.
Help pleaseeeee

I believe many NHS facilities require a BMI of 30 or less for IVF treatment. Your GP should still refer you and the clinic can assess whether they will begin treatment or not...I have read some ladies can start their exams and scans and then wait to start the IVF until they have lost a bit of weight.

I know your BMI had to be lower than the obese category for an anaesthetic but I didn't know it was a general thing. Question it.

Make changes and go back in a month? Lower BMI. Referral sorted!

I can't go back until 6 months after. I can lose it but I can't be referred until October.

My bmi was 31 and I had both general anaesthetic for lap and referal to a fertility specialist (thankfully not needed in the end). In the same year. It must vary from place to place.

You could lose 4lb in a week if you put your mind to it. Is that what you want to do?

I joined weight watchers and I've lost half a stone in the first two weeks... not starving myself or anything. My bmi was 26.

You can lose 4 lbs easy!
