Had stupidly irregular cycles (mostly very short - 18 days is the norm) since coming off the pill to ttc DS. He is now two and we have been ttc number 2 for a year, cycles getting worse. Had a very early mc last autumn (due to my stupidly short cycles I'd got my back, known for a week and mc'd by CD 25)
Finally went to see if anything could be done about my cycles, I hoped it would be a case of getting some form of hormone support to regulate my cycle, but I did have an inkling it wasn't going to be that simple.
Turns out my day 3 FSH is 29. Coupled with my cycles it's not looking good. We have been referred straight to fertility services and are waiting on the results of the (pricey!) AMH test to see if there's any point in trying ivf.
Aside from being gutted that another pregnancy isn't looking likely, I'm concerned about my own health as its looking like I am facing menopause in the not too distant future. Just wondering about any personal experiences to spark questions to ask at our consultation in early May. The reality hasn't really sunk in yet, I know we will expand our family somehow, but it's all feeling very uncertain at the moment. Any input at all gratefully recieved.
