So I am starting bemfola injections this week, would anyone have any lovely tips for me please? 🙂 I think my dosage is quite high at 375 due to disappointing blood results 🙁

I found putting an ice pack on the areas for 10 mins or so before injecting really helped to numb it a bit first. Good luck - you'll be fine and it'll be old hat in no time.

Thanks closephine! Thankfully not really scared of needles- just scared of doing it wrong or something!

Omg I'm so scared! First injections of gonal-f today ( on short protocol). I hate needles and I'm really petrified of doing it wrong! Going to take it out of fridge in about 45mins so it's at room temperature. Does it hurt?

Just did it tonight was a lot easier than I thought! A bit of a sting but nothing unmanageable 🙂

Don't freak out about the bubbles in the syringe, even medium to large ones won't do anything to you. (I freaked the hell out the first time because I couldnt get them all out)

Let go of the pinch of tummy just before you bring the syringe out, it's more comfortable.

The pain, if I had any, was usually after and ice cubes worked well.

Jodybug, I bet that you have already injected by now but seriously, don't worry, I'm also scared stiff of needles and my legs went all shaky the first time and yet I did it. Keep your mind on the goal, try not to hesitate too much and stab away (pinching a roll of skin and fat helps as fatty tissue is less sensitive, I believe). It also helps that the needles are really thin and short, especially if you are using the pen.

OP, well done, that's the spirit! It sucks but at least it feels like you have got a tiny bit of control back in a generally shitty situation IYKWIM.

One down! Was so scared as it felt I'd put needle on wonky! But did it and it wasn't too bad. Just fab to have to do it on day2 of aunt flo! Thanks for giving me a boost! OH isn't that helpful haha!

I think it's the anticipation before you start the injections which is the worst, actually doing it now is almost a relief!

Yes, the thought of it is awful. The less you hesitate (and I know it's hard) the easier it will be.

Day2 down and felt bit better about it. Think I'll be better still tomorrow. Got a banging headache though and I'm a migraine sufferer. Hard not taking anything! Not sure what OK to take so taking nothing just in case!

OMG I do not like cetrotide! It was a bit fiddly and was so nervous! Felt quite sick after! Bruising a bit already! Is that normal?

I have had one night where bled afterwards and a little bruising at the site, other nights have all been fine so no explanation!

Think it's partly cos I was so nervous. I have mild cramping today but no worse than period pains x

Yes I have had cramps (and spotting) from day 3! Cramps are normal but not so sure about spotting 🙁

I couldn't work out why a bit of liquid was leaking back out every time I injected, then I realised in my panic about doing it right - I was 'pinching an inch' to inject but not letting go, and effectively squeezing the meds back out! Grin

Yes it definitely takes a while to get a good technique! I had a scan this morning and despite all odds saw some lovely follicles! 🙂
