Scared and excited for tomorrow

So tomorrow is my hycosy scan and I find out my AMH results are (I'm 35)

I'm so worried - I already have children from a previous relationship and I am struggling to conceive with my current partner (his spermies are fine) so one part of me thinks it will be fine and the last 13 months of trying and 1 chemical are just one of those things and the other part of me is terrified I have no eggs left or there's something wrong with my tubes and we don't have the money for IVF Sad

Just want to get it over with now Confused

It's probably all fine, but just so you know- if you're not planning on doing ivf, I'm Not sure how useful the amh test is, as the main thing it tells you is how well you would respond to the ivf drugs. It doesn't tell you anything about the quality of your eggs, which is the most crucial thing for achieving pregnancy.

Good luck.

Thanks both,

Thanks chattycat - I didn't know that, it was the consultant that said I had to have it, I don't think he realises we don't have the cash for ivf, if it comes to it and that's what we need then we will save but it could take us over a year to save the money and I will be 36 by then Sad

Fingers crossed xx

Don't mention IVF, just focus on the diagnostics. Even if you go elsewhere for IVF, you take take those results with you which saves a bit of money. Also depending on the results there may be other things that you can try before thinking about IVF, and good clinic should tailor to your situation rather than IVF automatically being the solution. I'm also 35 now but 36 isn't too late for IVF so don't worry about that. If it was going to take 3-5 years to save for IVF you might be affecting your chances of success but a year is unlikely to make a huge difference (though does depend on your results so ask the consultant),

Good luck xx

Thanks all - it was fine Smile tubes fine and uterus fine although she did see a couple of small fibroids she said the position and size were nothing to worry about and they were small:

Dye went through fine Smile she said my ovarian reserve was 27? She said the range for my age is 18-34 so she considers 27 perfectly normal.

I have been given letrozole for 6 months "as a boost" she said. She mentioned ivf but said I would definitely need to go private and she said she hopes these pills will do the trick
