I had this injection today and wish I hadn't made the decision to go ahead without taking my time to research the side effects.
Having just had my first baby 2 months ago I am not planning to become pregnant again immediately. However at 36 years old and a previous diagnosis of PCOS which had not been discovered until I chose to come off the combined pill after 13 years I am concerned this was not the right option for me. I've read that many women do not get their periods back regularly for up to a year after coming off the injection - much the same case as the pill which I regret being on for so long as it masked my PCOS.
We are all different of course, but I'd really like to know if anyone has had problems conceiving after coming off the injection. I am due to have the next dose in three months but already know I won't be doing this.
I regret having these hormones placed in my body which may delay my cycle. Obviously getting stressed about it will not help but I would be interested to hear any experiences or feedback from those who have used the progestogen injection and if they were able to conceive/ regain cycle.
Thank you.
P.S does anyone have a time machine I can borrow?
