C#1 clomid 3+opk's so confused

Hi

I've attached a picture of my opk's in order of
1st 27/10
2nd 31/10
3rd 01/11

I know you're supposed to dip them in your urine for 10seconds but I've been naughty and just slightly peeing on them lol but they are clearly positive.

I started my first round of clomid on the 16/10 cd 1-5 50mg unmonitored

Blood tests showed I was ovulating but we've been trying over a year and no luck. OH speem count is normal.

On the 1st Nov I thought I could've been having implantation pains but now believe they must've been ovulation pains.

Achy boobs, sore nipples, L + R pelvic pain.
Lower back pain, and absolutely knackered. Was very cranky too.

We have BD everyday since the 19/10
I've not noticed any Ewcm only watery, I'm no good at checking my cp!

My cycles range from 32-35 but the doctor advised I may ovulate about 5-9 days after taking my last clomid pill.

Anyone had this and ended up getting a bfp I feel so confused as to what is going on with my body. Does clomid dry up your cm that you won't see any Ewcm, last time I saw it was before start of af few months back.

My temperature this morning was 97.34 but I've not been charting so I know it means nothing.

Any help would be much lu appreciated for a girl who is going stir crazy lol I honestly think it will never happen to us.

Baby dust to you all xx

Did your consultant not tell you to not bother with opk if your on clomid?
It's a well known fact that clomid messes with your hormones, it can send LH into your blood stream and the ovulation tests can pick this up and give false positives. If you use them with clomid you need at least 3 to 4 days after you take your last tablet to use an opk. I was monitored and my opk was in accurate with clomid so never bothered after that.
My advice, is put the prissy sticks down, 5 days after you take the clomid pill, Keep doing the deed every other day for at least 10 days. You should feel when you ovulate on clomid cos of the cramps. Stop symptom spotting and take it easy or you shall drive yourself mad.

Good luck

Thank you very much.

No he didn't, me and my OH have been talking about it today about how little advise he gave me.

I'll stop with the opk's but have just done my last one which was negative.

I defiantly felt ovulation pains on the 31st. I felt horrendous, had to leave work my lower back was killing, headaches, bother left and right pelvic cramps. Dtd loads before and the two days afterwards so hopefully may have a sticky one.

Thank you so much for your advise xx

Please do not use OPKs with clomid; clomid increases the production of LH so the kit simply reads that. Its therefore a waste of time and effort.

You should also be monitored whilst on clomid as it is quite powerful stuff, no monitoring means you do not know whether its doing its job or not.

Seek another opinion; I would not be happy with the lack of information you were given.

Such an interesting read.

I also wasn't told not to use opks whilst on Clomid. I have just ordered some in hope to help me with the cycle and now I'm wondering if I should leave it. It's my second cycle as the first cycle didn't work.

Hi Tinks,

No didn't use opks first time round and haven't been charting. Just went with the flow first time round as didn't really know what to expect. It's all been a bit of a whirl wind. That's why I ordered some opks in hope it will help me to know when I am actually ovulating.

Have you been chatting? Xxx

I have yes I've been charting but only for the 1st time so I'm unsure what is right and what is not.

Day after ovulation my bbt was 98.29 then little lower the days afterwards, this morning it was 97.83 I've got sore nipples and my boobs are a little fuller but I already feel like I'm out.

Have you any symptoms x

Fingers crossed for you.

I have just started my second round of Clomid with my last tablet being tomorrow night so not as far along in my cycle as you. I'm hoping my opks come in time for me to use them.

I have ordered the clearblue dual hormone one. I do have the fertility monitor somewhere in a box which I haven't got round to finding out since moving in April. Oops! But will keep you posted if they work or not xx

Hi Tinks,

How are you getting on??

So I've been using the clearblue opks this month and I started off with a blank circle followed by 5 days of flashing smileys and finally got the solid smiley today .. and feeling so bloated today! So I am hoping it's pretty accurate!

Doesn't seem like clomid has given me false positives as it's taken a few days to get the solid smiley.

Have you used opks?

Xx
