Anyone else never had a positive pregnancy test??

Just wondering how much in the minority I am.

I've been TTC for 18 years and never even had a second line on a pregnancy test.

I've now done 3 IVF cycles which have all failed.

I'm going through immune tests now but just wondered if anyone else has NEVER had a positive pregnancy test?

I've never had one either not even a squinter always stark white for me. We've been TTC Since May 2012 and I'm going for a lap and dye in 2 weeks after it got cancelled last week. So far no obvious issues for me or my DP but yet that elusive second line evades me.
Some years ago I had a very strong image of me with 2 boys close in age or twins and often that image is the thing that keeps me going, this might sound silly but hey ho it's whatever gives you hope.
Fingers crossed we both get some resolution soon Flowers

Good luck for your lap & dye Katie, hope everything goes ok and you get that lovely 2nd line soon.

I had it done years ago and showed no blockage etc but still never happened for me.

Fingers crossed for us both Flowers

I've never had a sniff of a bfp before OP - stark stark white stares back at me every time. I'm 22 months in and just had my second IUI last week so in my 2ww. Not got much hope but we get 3 goes before moving onto IVF.

Good luck with the immunes test!

Been TTC for over two years now, and not even a if-in-the-right-light-with-one-eye-closed type positive tor show for it. Going through IVF approval now so fingers crossed that may change.
Good luck for the immune test Flowers

Me neither!! Have been ttc for 22 months too and never even a hint of a line. Should hopefully be starting IVF in a couple of weeks time.

Good luck with the immune tests.

It's not just you, me too. 5 rounds of ICSI/IMSI and nothing. Absolutely nothing, stark white has shone back at me too even after leaving it for 5-10 minutes "just in case it needs a bit longer". It totally sucks.

Me neither. Never even needed to get one out the bin for a double check. Just snowy white every time. Cycle 19 for me...

Amazed TBH

And this was the cycle I didn't eat pineapple eggs lots of protein kept feet warm ate Brazil nuts etc

Did nothing at all and worked

Ivf is such a rollercoaster

I had two era after 3rd failed

Have you had this?

What do you mean 'had 2 era?'

I've always done all the protein etc and kept warm but don't think it makes much difference. It the embie wants to stick then it will regardless of how much pineapple we eat :)

Brilliant news though!

Era - endometrial-receptivity-test

It's basically a mock cycle to check lining

So you do drugs for a fet and on day 20 when they would do et you have your lining scraped (like a smear)

Results may show sometimes need a day or so extra drugs even lining is right thickness

era test

Oh I see! Yes I had it on my 2 cycles but still didn't work :(

You can't have it as part of a full ivf cycle with injections etc

It's a seperate procedure. Would have to be done after a failed attempt - so no eggs are collected or transfered

Or did you mean that?

10 years here. Stopped trying a few years ago. Not too sure how I'd feel if I got one now, I've kind of managed to make my peace.

Oh I had the Endo scratch which looks like it's something different.
Do you think this is what worked for you?

Mrssmith glad to hear you've made peace with it, I'm not ready to stop yet although after almost 18 years I know it won't be too many more years before I stop :(

Honestly I don't know but they advise having an era if had 3 failed cycles

The 5th we ended up having a weeks extra progynova as was away on holiday so got scanned and lining still the same over 11mm so transfered a fet week later

And one worked

Yes heard of scratch tho my uk clinic didn't recommend it

Just glue

18 years of ttc? 18 YEARS?????? Woman, you must be so strong to keep that up. I can't even imagine how dificult that must have been for you to keep going, I'm complaining after 3,5 years and I've been pregnant (but miscarried). I'm starting to feel humble here. I have no helpful words for you. I just think after so much trouble you really really deserve a baby but there is no magic that can give you one for that reason. I wish you all the best and hope for the best for you.

yes I haven't.
ttc from I was 23 and in my 40s now.
4 ICSI tx.
Given up but it's okay.
I remember reading an interview Anthea Turner gave, she had lots of unsuccessful IVF too and her take on it was to life her life or lie down and die. I always think about that. We make sure we life our lives.
