PCOS Newly Diagnosed

Hi,

I'm 36, have been diagnosed with PCOS. I have no cysts but do have enlarged ovaries/lining and irregular periods (but generally have 1 every month) and as I've been actively ttc for 2 years gaeno doesn't think I'm ovulating at all.

So she prescribed Clomid and Metformin and said if that doesn't work in 6 months I'll be sent straight for IVF. No mention of weight loss despite my being overweight, no blood sugar tests, I was diagnosed based on ultrasounds only. (My prog level is on the low end of normal). No mention about taking baby aspirin with the clomid either (this is something I'm going to discuss with GP).

I just wanted to ask about other people's experiences, with diagnosis and treatment.
