Clomid success when you're already ovulating - any successes?

My day 21 test showed I'm ovulating as do two months of temping but I've never got a BFP after 17 cycles. DH has low morphology. While we wait for IVF/ICSI, we've been given clomid just to bump our chances a bit. Did this work for you? Hoping we might be able to get a natural BFP by releasing an extra egg or two and increasing our odds! Also does anyone think a private round of IUI is worth trying before our IVF? NHS consultant said they don't bother anymore as low success rates.
Thank you.

Hello gee up. I do was ovulating even though I did do 3 rounds of clomid. They did give me a stronger ovulation but I'm afraid still zilch. Some people do get lucky though and conceive with clomid though they ovulate on their own. I also asked our nhs ivf consultant whether it's worth while doing a iui privately before IVF and she said it's up to me what I do with my money, they wouldn't offer it as the success rates are low. Think there like 3-7% where as ivf is 65-70% percent success rates. Hopefully you'll fall pregnant while waiting for your ivf which is what I'm hoping, but ivf is the best bet.

Thanks broody. Sorry I missed this. I have done one cycle of clomid so far and unfortunately it didn't seem to work - a very small egg sad

Clomid does work for some people, I was ovulating (2 out of 3 times on blood tests) and hubby had low morphology, after what seemed like months and years of trying and plenty of the hideous invasive tests they do I was prescribed Clomid, got my BFP after 2 months on the treatment! Don't give up on as it's worth trying! I was convinced it wouldn't work and am now 14 weeks pregnant!
Fingers crossed for you! Xxx

Congrats babyhamish - that's amazing and exactly the same problems as us! I'm also now on cycle 2 of clomid so hoping it's a sign that I might have the same luck as you! Thanks for sharing.
