Inositol and about to start fertility treatment

We've been TTC for over 2 years now and GP has referred us to the fertility clinic. We have our first appointment next tuesday. In 2013 I was diagnosed with PCOS, but that was it. Given no info or help to manage the condition at all and its just been getting worse since then, and now GP has finally realised we need help.

However, I have just found out about Inositol and am considering giving it a go. My weight is wildly out of control, my cycles are all 70+ days and I've only had three AF in the last year. It's horrendous.

Would you start taking Inositol before the appt next Tuesday, or do you think I should wait and see what they say?

Start taking inositol now at 4000mg per day. It takes 2-3 months to start having an effect but I found that it suppresses my appetite quite a lot.

Also I know that taking inositol makes no difference to what they might offer you treatment wise so there is no reason to delay starting it! I've been very open about it and at no point has it affected our options. I buy it from Amazon in pill form as I find that easier than powder.

It's also been shown to help lower MC rates in PCOS sufferers so it's recommended to be taken until 12 weeks pregnant.

Hope that helps.
