Just wondering if anyone has used embryo glue during their IVF cycle, or is considering using it? I am just about to start stimms & am struggling to decide wether to try it or not. This is our first round of IVF, it's all a bit overwhelming Confused

Nope. It wasn't an option, clinic didn't use it, they don't think it's worth it. And FWIW I think there are other things which make more of a difference - monitoring, timing EC and ET carefully etc. Agree it's all pretty overwhelming, can you speak to the consultant about it?

The clinic offered it, but my Dr said there wasn't much evidence for its use so didn't recommend it

Agree with cheapredwine on everything she says. It's having individualised treatment, tailored to you and your response to stims, that makes the most difference IMO. Good luck xx

We used it with both FET cycles. Bfn both times :(
I think we would use it again though as reading up on it I can see why it would be helpful. I think we were just unlucky rather than the embryo glue didn't work

I'm having it but only because it's included in the cost for the prima vision thing. Not sure I'd bother otherwise.

We didn't for our first two IVF - one failure and one sucess, resulting in DD. Did use it for our recent FET and am currently expecting DC2. As I understand, the evidence for it suggests it's can help over 35s and repeat unexplained failed IVF. I agree with PPs that it's only a small part of a lot if things that will matter more in terms of succesful outcome. But we concluded it was only £100 and in for a penny...

Hey MrsG86, I'm pretty interested in the glue option. Did you go for it in the end? I've had 2 failed IVF attempts and have had an endometrial scratch done this time around. Just waiting for AF to appear and it's all systems go! Best of luck on your treatment, let is know how it goes x

Thanks for the info ladies. I have had my egg collection this morning so have the transfer planned for 23rd if everything goes to plan, and we're hoping to go for the embryo glue...so I'll keep you posted on how we get on.
