Hello.
My first lot of 21 day bloods was 27. (Needed 30-80) so he sent me back for some more. 2nd lot came in at 31 so he said no more investigation was needed.
Now I've gone private im going to ask for some Clomid, I've heard conducting stories on its effect of your already ovulating. But surely as im just borderline ovulating..it'd be worth while to try?.or would it? Hmm

Hi, progesterone over 30 means you most likely ovulated that cycle. My understanding is that clomid is most likely to help for ovulatory disorders - disclaimer that's not me. It could help others, as it can be used to encourage more than one egg to develop in a cycle - but negative effects on lining could cancel out the positive effect. My advice is to make sure you're both investigated thoroughly for all possible causes of infertility. And if you're planning for a private consult then you can use to talk through all the options, including clomid alongside other potential treatments. I'm sure others will come along with more direct experience than me. Hope this helps.

I was ovulating completely normally but was put on Clomid to 'help things along' - ended up with 6 follicles that cycle, ironically was then told to not have sex as could end up with sextuplets. My advice would be to ask a lot of questions and if they do give you Clomid, make sure they scan you.

No doubt they'll scan me as it's private. There like 125 pound a scan but I definitely wouldn't have it done without the scans..I just need anything to boost things along Grin

I had 5 months of clomid (irregular cycles) and no bfp. Had lap and dye which was normal. Conceived month after lap and dye naturally. So I found it didn't help me - just gave me terrible side effects. Although I've read others it has worked for - although I don't know their medical history

Worked for me - clomid plus injection to make sure I released them. They'd found cysts sometimes blocked my ovaries they thought - I got 2 eggs implanted but one didn't make it past 10 weeks, there is a higher risk of multiples. Get checked out and go for it if it's suitable
