Did my first needle tonight was so nervous was about to inject myself when I dropped the needle, had to get it ready again, then I just paused when I had to inject myself hovering the needle over my stomach, I couldn't mentally do it, it was like being in a dream where you cant run any faster, I held my breath and did it, I didnt feel a thing, not even when I pushed the liquid in. Will keep posting how it all goes, would love to hear from other people..

Does everyone else have high hopes for first attempt (not sure we could afford to do it again).

Had scan yeaterday and womb lining was suitable to proceed to next step. Had my 2nd gonal f injection today and fingers crossed its all smooth sailing.

Hyland - that's great news, I always found that thinking about IVF one stage at a time was helpful and if your womb lining was suitable to proceed that's great news, good luck for the next step. I didn't have gonal f, I had menopur which I think does the same?

I have had 4 rounds of IVF, got pregnant on round 3 with amazing DD. Prior to IVF I had clomid and IUI which resulted in pregnancy but I had a miscarriage.

Hi all. Just on buserelin at the moment, starting stims next week. I am hoping I feel a bit better when they start. Main symptoms at the moment seem to be hot flushes, tiredness, headaches, mad food cravings- delightful!
I also find my concentration is a bit shot which isn't great for work. I am just doing my best and hoping that will be fine. I'm also a bit cranky Angry

This cycle is crawling by though, I wish it was over already! I have the deepest admiration for those who do it a few times. Have the same hopes as you Hyland!

I have definitely been feeling tired but i have put that down to the 2 hours and 30 min round trip to drive to clinic and home. Correction back to work for the afternoon!

I was told i would have a scan on day 9 and 12 when using the gonal f (stimms).

Ive actually been called back to have a scan on day 6 yesterday and day 8 which is tomorrow.

This was after my blood test on day 5 gave them concern for me possibly over stimming! or something about more estrogen in my system than they would expect. So day 6 yesterday that i had a scan all looked ok and they took blood again and told me to come in again on Thursday ( day 8).

Not sure if this is normal or they're just keeping an eye on me, I will ask tomorrow.

I agree Amara this cycle is dragging so i can only imagine what kind of torture the wait will be after the egg transfer.

Just touching base, how are you ladies doing?
I am feeling ok, a little headachy still but not so hot which is good. Becoming a dab hand at injecting. Looking forward to finishing the injections although probably not even half way yet!

Fingers crossed it works. : )

Best of luck Hyland! I think you have achieved so much to get this far- no small feat to deal with everything that goes with the treatment!

Am having my down reg scan this week. Fingers crossed it all looks nice and quiet. Did you feel better on the stim drugs?

The constant headache wasn't there but still susceptible to them, but maybe thats just the stress of my job.

My partner said ive been grumpy lol not sure if he was joking!

What day is your scan?
How long have you been trying

I've had a shorter fuse than normal but I hear that's not unusual! Scan on Thursday. Fingers crossed all ok to go. Trying for about 18 months but we have male factor infertility with no improvement over time so it is better to get on with it now I think.

I've had a throbby head but I find relaxing and drinking lots of water helps. Paracetamol usually clears it up if all else fails.

What about you? Have you been waiting for this for a long time?

I agree drinking lots of water helped, I wouldn't normally drink a glass when i get up and when I go to bed but have been trying to have pineapple juice and milk as well.

I've given up caffeine products: coffee, chocolate and coke.

We have been trying 4 years next month.

We're having ICSI due to sperm issues, one test was border line and the analysis the clinic did dropped dramatically, I'm not sure of the stats i didn't want to dwell on them and make my partner feel bad.

I have maybe 10% scar tissue in the womb and and left tube isnt blocked but the fluid ran through slower, so maybe partially blocked. The clinic felt that this wouldn't stop me falling pregnant.

I'm 36 (37 in may) so we will quite possibly request two embryos to be transferred.

I have a 13 year old daughter from previous marriage.

No miscarriages but surprisingly not one positive test or anything !

It took until just before August for me to convince him to go for IVF. If this wasn't to work i think he thinks we could still fall naturally.

I'm not convinced!

I had a good AMH reserve, again i don't know the stats. However with age the quality may be the issue is what I'm thinking.

Just had a scan today, my 2 & half cm cyst is till there, they were hoping it would be gone, and its grown slightly larger since the last scan by a few mm`s had to do a blood test to see if it was giving off estergen, , hopefully I can start taking Manipur tomorrow as planned. Has anyine else had a cyst, going through this process?
