Hi Girls

Had my day 5 blasto transfer done on Saturday, 2 put back because I am 38, first time ICIS.

I have had cramps since the transfer was done on Saturday morning and am now analysing it endlessly!

Any stories of how you felt after a day 5 transfer would be appreciated :)

Hiya!
I think its likely you'd have cramping with either outcome. You've just done a fresh cycle and your body is still going through loads of stuff.
Just chill as best you can because there is nothing you can do but wait, and oh yes don't pick up the pug!

I only had day 3 transfers but yes a bit of cramping (on all cycles no matter bfp or not).
I really had very few symptoms, so its just a matter of waiting. Luckily with day 5 its not long

Hi,

I am going through my 1st attempt of IVF. Had EC yesterday and felt so awful today, lots of cramping, on the plus side told 10 eggs have fertilised and booked in for blastocyst transfer this Saturday.

Not a fan of the pessaries 3x daily!!!

Best of luck to you xx

Hi sarah

You a just a bit behind me then. Yes I felt rough after ec, I had plenty of rest, lots more water and hot water bottles! I had 12 eggs collected 10 fertilised via icsi and then two went all the way to blasto day 5 which I had out back on sat.

Different feeling to how I felt after ec, cramps and feel exhausted but different who knows got to try and stop analysing!

Hate the pessaries too I am 2 a day, giving me such constipation!

This is my first try too so let's hope it works for both of us x

It's so difficult not to analyse everything and Google it lol.

I'm 32 so I'm guessing they will only transfer 1 blastocyst, providing my eggs make it to Saturday!

I have used donor sperm as I'm going it alone.

Do you work? I'm going back tmr, hope I feel better than today! X

Tell me about it!

Yeah it's cos I am 38 they are putting 2 back I think under 35 it's 1, you won't need anymore your eggs a lovely a youthful!

Think it's great that you are doing it by yourself. I had always thought I would do that if I did not manage to meet anyone. These threads will be great for you to be involved in as you get so much advice plus it's just great chatting to girls who are going through just the same thing as you and feel like you do!

After ec I obvs had that day off and the next day and then went back to work the day after that - you should feel heaps better tomorrow x

Hiya.
Honestly, me telling you how I felt after my ET will not help you at the mo.

Has the cramping eased off?

Unfortunately the waiting game can involve heavy cramping and bleeding/spotting as can a healthy early pregnancy. That is why the whole process is just so cruel.

How many days have you got left to wait? Is it going agonisingly slow? plan some nice things for weekend.

I'm in the same boat. Just wishing away the time, but in all honesty I've sort of wished away my life for more years than I care to remember.

I had a 5 day blastocyst transfer last June. I had period-type cramps throughout the 2ww and beyond. I'm due in 6 weeks Smile Had no other symptoms until a few weeks later.

Best of luck to you and everyone else here Thanks

Hi allchat

Thanks for your message yesterday and today cramps are worse, no bleeding, nausea has kicked in and a headache this morning, feeling really rough! Checked in with my clinic yesterday and they assured me not hyperstimulation so that's a relief, just rest, fluids and paracetamol.

Can test Monday thank god. I think this has been the hardest bit of this journey.

How are u?

Thanks fandango for your post keeps me positive! did you feel dreadful like me the further into the 2ww? X

Oh dear.
I haven't heard of those symptoms that close to ET. Maybe it's another bug especially considering the nausea? It would be too early for the pregnancy symptoms to kick in and the hormone trigger shot has probably only got tiny bit left in your system.

Roll on Monday and hope you feel better soon. Just keep remembering the whole process is tough on your body. x

Yeah that's what the nurse said yesterday you have to remember how much your body has gone through. You could be right about a bug would make sense as have had a upset stomach too. Just my luck!

Thanks all chat Flowers

Is it cyclogest pessaries you're on? They can cause all sorts of side effects including nausea/upset stomach and headaches. I was certainly glad to see the back of them!

I did feel pretty ropey during the 2ww. And afterwards, for that matter! I can't remember whether I felt worse as time went on though, sorry. Like you say though, your body has been through a lot, it's not surprising you feel a bit rubbish.I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you Thanks

Oh thanks for your reply fandango it's reassured me a bit. Yes I am on those pessaries I wondered if they might be part of how I am feeling as I am constipated and keep burping and feeling nausea.

I am going to ring the clinic today just to check my symptoms again. Still no heavy bleeding so that's a good sign.

Just feel so rough.

Exciting times for you then due in 6 weeks! Hope your feeling ok x

7 days after transfer and bleeding heavy has this happened to anyone else , feel so sorry for anyone who has got to go through all this such a heartbreaking process

the cyclogest really effed me up after both transfers (1 BFN, 1 BFP) – nausea, diarrhoea, the works! the 2ww after an IVF transfer is the worst – hope it goes really quickly for you (and that you get your BFP!) x
