Hi, does anyone have any experience of a known egg donor (for my sister) being aged 38/39 plus? I've completed my family and as far as I'm aware no fertility issues etc. Guidelines that I've seen are generally that though an altruistic donor should be 34 or younger there are exceptions for sibling donors. Thanks in advance.
Hiya. I know its under 35 for my clinic. I'm not sure about private clinics or with donating to a relative. Maybe it would depend on your AMH levels at an older age. If your AMH is low then you're likely to only produce a couple of eggs which lowers the chances of fertilisation and success. Its a lovely gift for you to offer though, I know a lady who had successful ivf with her sisters egg. I guess you need to phone the clinic and ask what their policies are. Good luck to you and her x x
