When did you ovulate after failed IVF?

I found out last Friday out first IVF hadn't worked. I stopped the progesterone that day and my period started the same day. Do I now count that as day one of my cycle or will my body revert to my natural cycle? I would normally ov around CD18.

We've decided to have a few months off IVF and just DTD every other day rather than worrying about ov dates which I think I did too much before.

Probably stupid but there's no reason I shouldn't get pregnant now H's sperm has improved so much.

I had a failed frozen embryo transfer in september, and first period (after the one i was already having) started exactly 28 days after i stopped the progesterone etc. But then I had irregular periods (very unlike me) for 4 months, and then after 2 months of regular periods I (and the docs) felt confident enough to take the final embryos out of the freezer. So 6 months to get properly back to normal, i'd say. I'm on my 2WW now, after one surviving embryo was transfered on monday, and not feeling overly confident!. Hope you can get pregnant normally xxx

Thanks Woowa. I hope it doesn't take that long for me to get back to normal. Fingers crossed you get your BFP before long. You did well to get frosties. I didn't get any so it's a full fresh cycle for me unfortunately.

we have 2 IVF children, the first cycle we got a daughter but didn't get any frosties, the second a son and 4 frosties. So, we'd be unvbelievably grateful for a 3rd child - infertility, oddly, doesn't get any easier when you do have children. I was sobbing on th table on monday telling the nurses I'd like 6 children. I hope this encourages you that it does often work. (my DH has pretty much dead sperm)x

I've got one son who was conceived naturally thankfully. I don't think I could cope with IVF if I had none. It does give me hope that IVF has been so successful for you.

H says three more cycles and then no more and won't consider adoption at all so I feel that I need to put my all into it so I can have the family of four I crave.

Like you, I would take as many children that came though. Each one would be a blessing.

Hi Turq. Just so you know, I had a 47 day cycle after 1st IVF. I bled on OTD then for 2-3 days then it was 47 days to the next. I was going mad! Clinic said to get in touch if more than 8 weeks. Reverted to usual 30 days after that so don't be concerned if month 1 post BFN not ideal.
