6ft egg donor wanting a recipient on egg sharing scheme , just doesn't seem to be any tall women out there!!!
I have been with a scheme for 6 months with a local fertility clinic but haven't been matched as yet.
Obviously the goal is to help another woman struggling to get pregnant to achieve that much wanted family but also to have the same ourselves.
Any advice or help!!!! Please

I'm not 100% sure how the scheme works but are people turning down your eggs because if your height?
I have just had a failed 1st round of IVF but afterwards hope to save enough money to try again but possibly with a donor because I am over 40 now.
What part of the world are you in?
I am not yet in a position to start it all again but didn't want your post going unanswered and you never know I might find a few grand down the back of the sofa Smile

Hiya thanks for the reply , yes people are turning us down because of my height! I'm based in Hertfordshire and with Essex and Herts fertility center but will go anywhere I'm needed to be honest.
I haven't done ivf before bit I'm tested and ready to go lol
( good luck with sofa)

I think its sad people would reject due to height. (Theres a lot more to think about)
I think i may have read eggs from taller people can be better.
It wouldnt affect my decision (if i needed eggs)
Although i might consider asking for a CS :)
Good luck
im not sure height should even be a match criteria (unless excessively small) as i have 2 uncles, one each side of over 6ft with parents each 5' and a bit and 5'10 or so . My bf is 6'1 with parents 5'6 and 5'10.
Even 2 parents 6' would only produce a girl 5'9 , but i suppose a boy of 6'3.

Is it possible you are assuming its that? Maybe not many people looking or they are focusing on really young donors or going abroad. Does a computer system do the matching?

Hi, I'm in the matching process and would decline a 6ft match as both my partner are on the small short side as are the majority of our family and for me this is important, more than hair colour or eye colour etc. I hope you don't mind me saying that but it is such a very personal decision and it isn't me being heightist, I just want my future child to 'fit' with the way we look. I have green eyes and genetically we could only have green eyed children biologically but I've decided to ditch worrying about that as there aren't a lot of green eyed people in the world, let alone donors. The thing about this that doesn't feel right is that you can guarantee there is a recipient in the uk stuck on a waiting list because they want a tall donor and there aren't any in their area, just as there are probably green eyed donors out there I won't ever be able to find. It's a pity there isn't a wider register but I'm not sure how that would work. I really hope that you find someone through here or maybe fertility friends? Have hesitated about posting this, hope it is read as meant!

Hi there - I'm 6ft too and am currently contemplating egg donor IVF with my husband (6'4") as my eggs are a bit past it. I'd be interested to know more, PM me?
