My best friend had her treatment there, she is now 20 weeks pregnant and speaks very highly of the whole team there.

akissisnotacontact I wonder if you could do me a big big favour and put me in touch - they have this offer at the minute where a friend can pass on the 10% discount to a friend and any cycles they need themselves. we can get it ourselves on future rounds, but we need someone to introduce us for the first round. we'd need to be really quick though as we might even have contact with the clinic tomorrow. Could you possibly put us in contact or if she would mind us referring to her??

We;d be soooooo grateful!

I had FET there. I had my 5 day old embryo transfered there just to have FET.

I had 5 ivfs - 4 at LWC - got 2 times pregnant there, however no children born. 1 ivf was abroad and got pregnant and have a baby.

Now I wanted 2nd one - had 1 frozen from the clinic abroad but thought that it would be easier to have it done here rather than going travelling... Took it to city-fertility - NEGATIVE!!!!

I do not believe that they have the experience necessary , doctor did not respect my wishes, he wanted just to have "things" done his way. I did not want male embryologist at the transfer - he (the embryologist ) ignored that, he was still coming to the room and looked to me like he wanted to get a peek... Pervert!

Also the doctor had some silly comments to it.

Otherwise - their equipment is very new, the chairs are very comfortable, receptionist extremely nice, nurses nice and very helpful. My verdict - I will not go back there.

I will go back abroad where we seemed to be more lucky.

I donated eggs there, thought they were very knowledgable and supportive. I chose not to find out the outcome of my donation so can't comment on their success rates!

These 2 clinics got me pregnant, this clinic not( city-fertility)! In my head is going a lot at the moment and I cannot stop crying. I even thought ( I know that it is crazy ) whether the embryo was really alive when they put it in me... I was pregnant 3 times in raw, I had very nice embryo frozen - I cannot still believe that I am not pregnant. I do not know how long it takes me to get over it. DonCallMeDaughter - how do you feel about other people having your children? I could not do that... I am sure that quite few parents will be very greatful to you...

I came here to do my egg freezing so I could concentrate on furthering my career, in the knowledge that my 'cryo babies to be' were safely stored, and that I underwent the procedure safely and in good hands. I purchased a package of 3 cycles (as recommended).

Currently, I am on my second cycle of egg freezing (egg retrieval day is two days away- yay). The medical staff are professional and get the job done. They are friendly enough (although I do feel like I am on a conveyor belt service, rather than a preferential private treatment service which I thought I had signed up for given the vast amount of money I have given city fertility for this procedure). The standard of service is akin to the NHS truthfully (as in appointments always delayed as they are running late, fake but friendly enough smiles by all staff, and a feeling that you're just not that special/being cared for), although as stated above, you will be paying for private clinic rates, just not receiving that level of service.

Be careful to triple check how much your treatment will cost, because they do change their prices without notice (although they will argue otherwise about this,I speak from experience, and they do add extras for blood tests etc without any notice to yourself, and it does all stack up price wise significantly). My price plan has gone up twice in price, and when I questioned this, I was told I was the only one to complain, talk about a slam to the face!! Very disappointed regards the transparency of pricing, but I've been sucked into their trap, be careful ladies! There are much better places to go, even my experience at CRGH was better than this, hence I felt obliged I had to review this institution. I'm stuck until the end of my 3rd cycle, but I seriously don't recommend this place, given my first hand experience (that I'm halfway through). If I could start again I would take my money and go elsewhere. But I'm stuck. There goes. Good luck ladies in your choices. I've given you my review from my first hand experiences.

Sorry but to save time I copy and pasted my 'what clinic' review that I posted today. In short, I do not recommend. Hannah xxxx

I had a private consultation at City Fertility last year and found the consultant (Dr Martin) to be abrupt, unhelpful and borderline rude. I had just been diagnosed with low amh and was told that there was almost no chance of ivf working for me and I should just go to DE. All this was delivered within ten minutes with no interest in discussing any opinions in depth. He was also clearly desperate to scan me (and hence bump up the bill) and looked very pissed off when I said I didn't want one that day! Whole consultation last less than fifteen minutes and I left in tears feeling like a dried up old hag.

I put a complaint in saying I felt I had been very poorly treated and did not feel the consultation warrented it's £150 price tag! They still made me pay it in full thoughAngry

I really would not recommend them to anyone. Consider going abroad cost is an issue. You'll find a much nicer clinic.

Terrible spelling/grammar there sorry. It's early!

Totally agree: dr Martin (who is my doctor) is professional but just does not care about his patients (certainly comes across that way). I have to bear with, as said above, but very disappointed with the whole experience which has left me feeling, well, crap for lack of a better word. Please report your experience to the HFEA website (via their 'review a clinic' page), because it might save another lady the pain, humiliation and expense. I did yestday. And HFEA are the regulators of this industry. I still can't get over the managers face when I told her I wasn't happy with the way I was having bills thrown at me midway through treatment, when I was sold a complete treatment package (hence believing there would be no other expense), as if How dare you mention pricing. I had to tell her it's completely illegal to missell a service like that (me and my partners are both lawyers- we know what we are talking about- so I stick to my guns, but the fact she tried to belittle my opinion, well, I'll never forget that). Still have it mind to sue after my treatment, if things don't get better after my 3rd cycle. Fingers x they do.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rubbish time with them SuperGirl21 They really are dire.

I had no idea you could report via HFEA. I will definitely be doing that, so thank you for making me aware. It's so unacceptable that they make their patients feel the way they do. As if fertility issues don't make people feel insecure and sensitive enough already!

Hope the rest of your treatment isn't too upsetting for you. Good luck with it all.

Yes, my complaint went into their beta (trial) website which will be up and running soon (with my experiences at city fertility).my experience Should be the first one there.

Below is there current website:

guide.hfea.gov.uk/guide/Overview.aspx?Code=324&s=l

You should have a look around as it's worth investigating clinics this way. And definitely do report them. You are so right. They shouldn't be making patients feeling like this.

Good luck with it too!! Hope it works out well!:)

Thank you for the link. I'm struggling to find the page for reporting a clinic though? I've had a good look, but can only assume I'm missing it somewhere? Would be delighted to have my bad review on new website. They'll have two bad brand spanking reviews right next to each other. They'll be thrilledGrin

Well they just shouldn't be treating people this way. It's on their somewhere x

Omg- just come in (to city fertility) and there's a lady at reception, a customer, and the exact words that have come out of her mouth are 'oh ok, I will just pay this and be aware that there may be more charges I'm unaware of', true story, this just happened!

I'm here for my procedure! And aware this is a public forum so will say no more, but this place is a joke. I mean whatever happened to client confidentiality (the fact that I could hear that, and that it reflects my views on pricing strategy they have adopted- omg).

And btw- dr Martin just swanned past me without a hello or anything, even though he's about to operate on me in half hour. It's just the way this place is. NHS behaviour (and well- below) at private healthcare rates! Wish me luck. I'm stuck. All the best.
