Nutritionist experience in general and recommendation in Surbiton/Kingston/Surrey

Hi all,

I have PCOS - no symptoms other than the cysts on the ovaries and lack of periods. All discovered when I came off the pill in order to have DC1.

I am extremely fortunate and I have one DS who is coming up to 7 months now and was the result of IVF. We would quite like a 'free' one next time (Wink) and was thinking if I saw a nutritionist maybe that would help?

Any experience or advice really?

Thanks

Hi, I am a trained Nutritional Therapist. Amazing the results that you can get through making small but positive adjustments to your diet.
I would recommend Nicola Moore- lectured at my college, Institute of Optimum Nutrition- really nice, intelligent woman. www.bant.org.uk/bant/getPractitioner?id=39596.
Very switched on and has a family of her own.
In the meantime easy steps to take include going low Glycemic Index/ Load (GI/GL), choosing oily fish twice a week (prefer smaller fish, eg mackerel), drink plenty of water, remember your folic acid. Regular exercise routine to help regulate blood sugar levels and hormone responsivity (as with the low Gi/GL), best not run marathons unless that's habitual already!!
But this is all very general. Go to see her, she is lovely.

Or try Liz Copeland (www.tranzformations.co.uk/liz-copeland.php). I found her helpful pre conception of DD (she will mix herbalism and nutrition if you like) but have found her IMPOSSIBLE to track down for this ttc epic.

Very Good Luck!!

Oh and obvs tons of vegetables but maybe not too much fruit- especially tropical as relatively sugary. Again you are trying to balance blood sugar to help to regulate reproductive hormones.

Thanks! Really helpful. I try to keep to low GI but do eat a ton of fruit so need to make that switch to veg!
