PMQ blog

Cameron says the way to stop the strike is to show "some leadership, some courage and some backbone". Brown just sits in his bunker "and he can't even decide what biscuit to eat".

I'm making banana flapjacks this afternoon, do you think I should send him one? Or would they be too adventurous?

Cheap shot from Cam. Meaningless words more akin to what I would expect from an 8 year old playground bully boy.

When Cam first became leader he claimed he wouldn't stoop to the bear bating and name calling that is PMQs. Let's hope he shows a bit more commitment to his other policies than he did to that one.

That's it ladies - we are the cause of the collapse of government

See - I bet it wasn't Gordy last week after all. Some minion 'tending to be him and so couldn't get drawn on the 'favourite biccie' in case that's all poor Gordy got served up henceforth at meetings

What a load of old bollocks Cameron talks. He didn't say he couldn't decide what biscuit he would choose. He just chose not to tell us.

He couldn't tell us! That's classified information, that is!

Cameron's one to speak. He said that a boring savoury cracker was his favourite biscuit. The man is an idiot.

At least DC gave an answer. It would have taken GB 10 seconds to write anything choccie.

I feel obscurely guilty!

savoury crackers, indeed. Pah.

Oatcakes are dd2's favourite biscuit.... could she be David Cameron's secret lovechild? (Err....no).

In the context of PMQ's it was brought up to try to depict GB as weak and dithering.

Cameron's choice was a complete lie. No-one chooses oatcakes.

Dumbledoresgirl · 21/10/2009 19:29

I must admit, oatcakes, they're a bit of a puritan choice aren't they?

Report

My homemade oatcakes are nice. > But I would not in a million years let the-idiot-who-can't-lock-up-a-bike have any. Waste.

These here are my favorite biscuits (the fruit and spice ones), they are an oat biscuit though and not an oat cake .

It is quite a versatile choice, no? You can't make a cheesecake bottom or balance a bit of after dinner brie on top of a party ring now can you?

Report
HerBewitcheditude · 21/10/2009 22:17

oatcakes aren't even biscuits.

Let's see. Party leader who is a shameless PR man in his previous day job chooses to shamelessly milk the PR.

Twat. 'At least he bothered to answer' is SO not the point. Brown perhaps misread MN's tone somewhat, and panicked on the day, worrying whether he'd offend apparently serious women akin to his own wife for dismissing their real questions with trivia. Cameron on the other hand uses every teeth-flashing smarm moment available to overlook the fact that He Has No Policies.

It's fucking me off now.

He probably never even saw the sodding biscuit question. He wouldn't have been actually clicking "refresh" now, would he?

I'm a bit fucked off by the whole thing too, now.

AitchTwoToTangOh · 21/10/2009 23:19

me too. to think we provided a cheap score for that empty-headed twit, it's really very irritating.

and he chose a sodding oatcake. SUCH a liar.

btw is that what he said during his webchat or did Camo dodge the question too?

Search 'DavidCameron' and "oatcake" = No Match Found. Verdict: Liar

PeachesMcLean · 21/10/2009 23:25

Oatcake, I think, was "research" by the Times when they covered the biscuit issue at weekend. It was probably nothing more than a phonecall so that they could trump the PM. Not that clever.

I'm getting peed off about how this is being blown beyond all proportion, discussed beyond anything reasonable, and given a level of importance which it really doesn't deserve.

At best, to ask the question, was being satirical in response to the PM's stock answers on the webchat.

At worst... well, we've seen the point scoring which has happened as a result. I don't think we were wrong to ask the quesiton, I think it reflects really badly on the media and politicians to have jumped on it so much.
