Yes tis a shame they cancelled her ticket! How much more evidence do they need for illegal parking - still she got her comeuppance! Very worrying driving by bus driver though - thank goodness no-one (including the cat) was injured.

Not sure but I would have thought the bus was owned by London Transport, which isn't the responsibility of Kingston Council.

the fact that her car was run into changes nothing. She was parked at a bus stop. The 2 have nothing to do with each other.

The reporter annoyed me with his first line "we've all done it". Well actually no, some of us don't park illegally just because we are too bone idle to walk up the road a bit to a cashpoint.

Even without the car there it would have been quite a spectacular crash, going up on the pavement completely out of the blue and demolishing the bus shelter. Imagine being a passenger!

I think the ticket should have been upheld. Stupid cow.

I can't abide people who think they can park wherever they like just because they're too bloody idle to park up properly and walk. Many seem to think that the rules don't apply to them, and as long as they put their hazards on they can do what they like.

Stupid lazy cow who couldn't be arsed to park properly and walk a few yards. Or maybe she thought having a porsche made her SO important she didn't need to abide by the same rules as everyone else.

Agree that it was some pretty dodgy driving by the bus driver too!

The bus driver didn't do it on purpose. He had an accident. It's a bad one, and it could have been tragic. But he didn't decide to put his foot down and ram a bus stop and car. Maybe he should have some retraining, but I don't think he should lose his job for an accident.

She chose to park illegally and shouldn't be let off the consequences of that.

Even though she did get her car wrecked.

Blimey! Natural justice operating there but that bus driver really did fuck up. Lucky no-one was killed.

Don't know what they teach them these days... there were three bad bus crashes in my neck of the woods when I lived in London, with two buildings damaged beyond repair (and one person killed, although he was attacking the driver/playing chicken or something - ran in front of the bus, anyway, driver tried to swerve and hit a building but still ran over the lad).

The bus driver driving into the shelter and her car has nothing to do with the fact that she was parked illegally and should not have been let off!

That's terrifying! Gload there was nobody at the bus stop...

Wilmslow (where I live) is FULL of drivers like her. Can't park/don't care, park on the pavement/in disabled bays/in front of the Waitrose loading bay so the lorry can't get in and all the traffic is held up for 20 minutes.

a friend of mine trashed someone's Porsche with his bike lock in NYC. he knocked over said friend who went flying over his bonnet. friend was injury free but the guy just drove off but got caught at the next red light. friend chased after the car and beat the shit out of the Porsche while it was stationery at the light and then walked off.
