I saw it on TV last night - it was lovely!! Tom Daley didn't appear to be embarressed at all.

I thought Tom looked very embarrassed. He's 15 for god's sake - not 8. this is a boy who had to change schools because of bullying - this isn't going to help.

His father stole his moment.

ChildOfThe70s Wed 22-Jul-09 10:20:48

Nancy66 - totally agree, his Dad stole his moment and he DID look a bit embarassed. Although I would be totally bursting with pride if he was my son, I hope I would be able to contain myself till after the press conference smile

Is that they guy who survived a brain tumour and then went on to support his ds at Olympics? If so, I think I'd give him a break grin.

Of course it could be passive aggressive attempt to repay son for years of embarassement. Dh and I faux snog whilst waiting in playgroudn sometimes to shame the dds!

Flamesparrow Wed 22-Jul-09 14:02:52

Thank you! I was starting to think I was just heartless and uncaring.

Yes, his family have supported him etc, but it was his moment.

I heard it on the radio too and cringed.

Hope I'd have let my kid have their moment if it had been me.
