China quarantines UK Children and Teachers

And 3 of my colleagues just arrived there today. I wonder if they are among the quarantined.

I shouldn't think - I believe they are tested people as they exit the aircrafts though - you wouldn't want to be a menopausal woman with hot flushes would you?

But can you imagine. Waiting all year to go on holiday and they the country you want to visit turns you away and you lose all your money as your insurance won't pay out?
Glad we're not going abroad this year.

My dd is there sad
She is in the wider group of 278 that arrived in Beijing together, but not part of the 52 in quarantine. Their plans have been subject to some alteration, but generally as they were not in close contact, they are being allowed to carry on with only minimal disruption (although are being monitored closely for symptoms).
They are leaving Beijing tomorrow for one of the provinces which is good news.
I really hope they can carry on as planned. They have worked so hard for this trip and been loking forward to it for such a long time.

My old school has pupils out there in quarantine according to the local news
We never got the option to go to China! It was France for us
