Haaaa Sounds like she went a little OTT and couldn't face her father!

bollox.. I almost fell asleep when I was having my back tattooed but there is no way someone could be tattooed on their face and fall asleep.. especially near the eyes.

I don't believe a word of this.
Unless Jeremy Vine discusses it on his prog then it is DEFINITELY true

How nice, the family tradition of the father paying for his daughters facial tattoos, makes the heart melt doesn't it....

My eyes are watering just even thinking about nasal tattoos. Ouch!

Silly girl. It's sad though that the tattoist is being blamed for her silly mistake.

did you see her tatooist? I love the fact that he is wearing really ordinary glasses

I nearly nodded off during my last tattoo too SGK!!
I agree bollocks... No one can sleep through tatts on the face.
She should have gone to a sensible artist who would have advised her not to have a tattoo in a prominant place at a young age.
Saying that I don't know what the laws/standards are like in Belgium.

Any decent tattooist wouldn't tattoo someone on their face unless they were a hardcore tattoo-fanatic.
I reckon she asked for that design and then couldn't face her dad so lied.

I have a tattoo underneath my ear and the pain was awful - there is no way I could have fallen asleep.

I agree its a crock - in the report on Sky News it shows the tattoo artist looking at a photograph she had taken of the tattoo - like a professional shot for his portfolio, so she couldnt have been that upset!

Maybe people should sign something in future. Like an agreement with the design clearly described and written down. Maybe with a drawing.

If it wasn't on her face it would be quite pretty.

Perhaps people should sign a consent form, as they would for a surgical procedure?

I agree with .......BOLLOCKS!!

No way- she has gone too far and is afraid of her parental onlash, or she was off her head- either way, no way was she just asleep....unless she has some odd sleeping disorder of course....Bloody laugh eh??!!

Agree. The idea that someone could fall asleep and STAY asleep while someone runs a needle up and down and round their face, well, it's laughable!

I've been thinking about this, and no way should a respectable tattooist tattoo the face of a young woman so extensively.

In the UK no reputable tattooist would tattoo someone's face, especially a young woman (yes sexist I know!) without damn good reason. You would be hard pressed to find anyone to do 1 star let alone 50+.

Agree with everyone else that no way can she have fallen asleep while having face tattooed!

As for the tattooist - assuming he broke no guidelines about facial tattooing - an adult came in and asked him for a service and so he gave the service. Not up to him to make judgement calls about whether a grown-up is able to make their own mind up or not.

Think it is good that it's difficult to get this sort of thing done in the UK though. Also think it's good that you can if you really really want to.

Heard the chap on 5live and he stated he had a witness and the police are refusing to persue things.

He said that he didnt want anyone to be unhappy and he has offered to pay for removal. He said he loved his job and didnt want to be stopped from inking

I agree LTOS. My artist is great. He will do my small neck tattoo when I have it because he knows I will research my design/idea, trusts the fact that I am 30() and know what I'm doing and plus it's going at the back where it can be covered by my hair.
But he won't tattoo my youngest brothers neck because he's only 21, hasn't really figured out what he's doing with his life so our artist doesn't want to hinder his choices by putting a permenant, highly visable mark on him.

Jules Clocher, a Belgian psychologist, said: 'The trauma this girl must be feeling is indescribable. She feels like a circus freak - and no wonder, because she looks like one.'

very professional

I think she asked for them and he should not have to pay. She was of legal age, he did nothing wrong,

if tattotist thought 'i'd better not do this tattoo ... they might regret it' they'd never bloody work again.

Its on her (adult) shoulders IMO.
