i have known some very formidable over 70's. She WAS warned about it and still carried on.

Surely a massive bloke like that could have 'restrained' her. She was tiny and when she fell to the floor she could have broken bones.

Surely a taser should only be used when the officer or a member of the public is under physical threat from the suspect?
However cantankerous she may have been, I doubt the police have authority to take justice into their own hands and taser people as punishment for being cantankerous.
And it's bollocks that it was to stop her or him getting hit by a car - by the time he stuns her she is on the ground by the kerb.

I hope they get done.

Blu's right, tasers were sold as a non-lethal alternative to firearms in a situation where the police are under threat. That is clearly NOT the case here.

From looking at the footage you can see this guy is quite a big burly guy. He should have been able to subdue her without the use of the taser IMO. Christ, we all know some cantankerous old bids but you wouldn't use a bloody taser on them!! It looks like he lost control to me. Or was having a bad day and took it out on her.

Horrible - that police officer was just a thug and a bully. she wanted to get back in her car because she was feeling threatened and intimidated. Tasering was totally uncalled for, she was no threat whatsoever.
