Wonder if the boy was disabled? Apparently a wheelchair was found in the abandoned car. Looks like it may be another case of lack of support for families with disabilities.

That's so sad, the bit about the soft toys in his rucksack has brought tears to my eyes. I hope they're happy where ever they are now, they obviously weren't happy here.

How bad can things be to do this, especially with your little child to, who has their whole life ahead of them. Must be complete devastation to reach that point surely? How awful for all involved, especially the family and friends left behind who have to deal with it and their grief.

Not heard about the wheelchair bit so can't comment on that.

We don't know what happened. The article I read said that police are keeping an open mind about whether they jumped, fell or were pushed.
The other possibility is that the little boy was dead already and that's why the parents jumped.

It says they jumped and he was already dead.

"Overcome by grief at the death of their little boy, a mother and father have leapt from Beachy Head clutching his body in a rucksack.
Horrified rescuers found the five-year-old alongside his favourite teddy and his parents' bodies near the bottom of the 600ft cliffs.
Police fear the devastated couple agreed a suicide pact after deciding they could not face life without their son, who passed away at their family home from natural causes after a short illness.

Yesterday I was calling the parents selfish for taking the child with them. But now it seems he had dies of illness and they just couldn't bare to live without him. One of the most poignant things I have heard.

Leningrad- try not to feel bad, when you hear stories like this you do tend to jump to conclusions.
