George galloway is now my official representative in westminster. The exchange between him and paxman was verry good.
I didn't vote for him.

my dh voted for a local independent. thought he was brave to stand so he would give him his vote (one of only 600ish votes he got in the end!). we are a true blue area and he has never voted tory and couldn't face it this time, yet couldn't face voting labour either. and the local lib dem guy is a pillock.
so there.

mind you our local tory is an extremely good local mp who works like a dog 7 days a week for the constituency so I voted for him.

Voted SNP but it was the Labour candidate who got in unfortunately.

It is odd that Labour still do so well in Scotland really when you see the mess they have made of the councils they run. Very much an old-boys network and to get anywhere (in particular housing) it is relatives first and foremost.

I voted for Galloway. I think this is the first time ever that someone I voted for won, and that's over 17 years or something of voting.

I loved the exchange between him and Paxman.

I voted for our local independent mp, Richard Taylor. Would have been lib dem but they didn't stand in our area.
He got in.

Oh, the Wyre Forest hospital one, sassy? I read about him, he sounds great.

That's him, Jan. He is ok, I suppose - best of a bad bunch, but aren't they all?! When the campaign started he was really revolutionary and got tons of support. His majority was 17,000 last time round. However, being a lone voice means he hasn't done a fat lot in parliament; sits on lots of health committees etc but pretty low profile generally. And the hospital is now in a worse state than it was in 2001. BUT when i looked at his voting record it was quite close to my own views on stuff like Iraq, tuition fees, immigration etc, so he got my vote.
BTW he has been a great guy in local community; turns up to lots of school fetes etc. Bless.
