I don't know why I should feel so depressed about this. It's just so sad that mothers like her have had to serve prison sentences for having the bad luck to lose a child.

baby deaths mother granted bail

C, I just about this too. . Why would she want to wait in prison until her trial, though?

They said on Radio 4 this morning that she didn't have anywhere to go. I think they said her mum died recently. I didn't hear any more though. I hope someone gives her some help.

Fantastic that her case is to be appealed - I think Angela Cannings said, on leaving prison, that people should direct their attention to Donna Anthony's case.
So sad if she's got nowhere to go. I guess you are likely to lose friends and family if you are labelled a baby-killer.

And she's so young - and she's been in prison such a long time - poor lass

This is from the Telegraph:

"In the lifers' wing of Durham jail prisoner Donna Anthony has never heard her name spoken. On the rare occasions that inmates address her directly, they refer to her only as BKB. The initials are whispered as she passes by. At night they are screamed at her through the walls of her cell."

It stands for Baby Killing Bitch.

Can you imagine having to live with that for six or seven years (however long it is)?

She has said previously that she only wants to leave prison as an innocent woman, not one still with a question mark over her. I've read that she has nowhere to go and no one in her life, no family or friends at all.

I read about a woman in Take a break who also was convicted 10 years after the death of her baby girl and her baby boy, on the evidence given by Prof Roy Meadows, she was freed after 3 years,

I personally hope 'Sir' Roy Meadows is prepared to provide her with a place to live in and about a million pounds in compensation seing as it's his fault yet again. When will this woman hater be stopped ?

The depressing thing is that it's not just him who is the woman hater. He couldn't have done it on his own - the whole of the legal, medical and social work professions helped him, didn't they?

agreed Caligula. We were watching the tv news last night about this and my hubby was apoplectic about how stupid and evil the Judges in these cases must be. He also thinks Roy Meadows should go to prison himself!
