I teach in a lab with no computers and no internet connection, so interactive WB and crap facilities. We don't even have an OHP in each lab, we have to share, and kids have to share books in almost all lessons, except theones where we have No books at all. That cash could have given us an interactive WB in each lab, and significanly imporved the education for every child in the school for many years to come (only used that because there isn't a f*ing furious emoticon)

Twiglett: message for you at bottom.

Hey, maybe the pole and bird is an early April Fool's ?

That's a bit crap, IMHO.

Though must say her 'everyone I've ever slept with' tent installation was quite good.

Twiglett, little birdy (dw) tells me we have a common friend: Down your neck of the woods, Volvo driver, mumma to two boys...

Am I right or am I totally mistaking you for someone else ? (sorry in advance if so)

Hey, Twiggy, DW says she thought you were rather fab too, so air kisses all round and she says thanks too for the info on getting pg.

Anyway, isn't MN great. It's like crack only worse.

See ya around !

Hellfire, Tracey. Are you takin' the piss, girl?

I usually really hate conversations about modern art that boil down to 'what a waste of taxpayer's money' but...what a waste of taxpayer's money.

I think that is disgraceful
hope she will be giving that 60k to the bbc's comic relief appeal as her contribution as she certainly is having a laugh

You should have seen her bags. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Longchamps totes and have been using them since I was a teen, but how in the hell did she score a gig designing bags for them?? And they were £165+, which in itself is okay, but they were UGLY! Rather like the rest of the stuff she does.

Did think that it looks very small & flimsy to be stood by itself in Liverpool! I'll give it a week before it disappears ! Although it is more 'arty' than some piles of old tat they call art ! (sorry, I'm not a fan of 'modern installations')

furfuxache, what a waste of money.

Not that I totaly dislike it, just that surely it can't have cost more than a tenner for the material?

Or perhaps my follow up work entitled Rat up a drainpipe...I am not sure

I do too Katierocket
I think Tracey Emin is a real original and it's an interesting idea.
I know I could think of "worthier" things to spend £60,000 on, but I do honestly think not nearly enough public art is commissioned in the UK as it is.

It's a bird on a stick.

I'd have done it for half the price if they'd asked me.
