Ireland, Brazil, Germany and Norway apparently. poor horses, it's not like they chose to take the substance.
Have cut and pasted the piece from BBC Olympics

1050: Serious faces now. It has been confirmed that four horses - representing Brazil, Germany, Ireland and Norway - have been suspended for testing positive for a prohibited substance.

Didn't Germany will both the individual and team gold in the 3 day eventing? Does this mean that their medals will be taken away? Or are these horses only connected with the show jumpers?

FFS,if the b samples confirm it that's two olympics in a row our equestrian team have let us down on the biggest sporting stage in the world.

add that to our junkie swimmer in atlanta and we're probably becoming the biggest per capita dopers at the olympics.

Some funny comments on the BBC Olympics website including

"Nor did they test positive for test-horse-terone, a class hay substance or anabolic stirrups. "

"And no, it wasn't for a-neigh-bolic steroids."

"Capsaicin is basically rubbed onto the front of the legs and it makes the horses pick up their legs" in other words it hurts like hell and the poor horses make damn sure they don't touch any fences. There are some cruel people in the horse world, thank goodness for doping tests like these.

Also, the people involved must be stupid - isn't it SOP that all medal winners (including equine ones) are dope tested as a matter of course?
