We don't know from blizzards - look here . View all the pictures!

NB where mentioned, minus 11 degrees is F - that's minus 24 C

it won't let me view all the pic, no bar to move it

SPARKLER1 Mon 24-Jan-05 22:30:41

Brrrrrr - I thought it was cold enough here. The Americans are so much more organised than us Brits when it comes to these things. A few snowflakes and everything grinds to a halt here!

JanH Mon 24-Jan-05 22:46:26

even if you maximise the page, mieow?

sparklymieow Mon 24-Jan-05 22:47:31

Miaou Mon 24-Jan-05 22:48:45

woweee - I feel very cold now!

Mieow - I couldn't see the whole screen but could just get my cursor on the row of little boxes at the very bottom of the screen, so clicked on there and was able to view the other pictures.

JanH Tue 25-Jan-05 09:34:56

Oh, I love it - headline from the Mirror - Drivers are warned as snow hits - that was 1 centimetre in Suffolk

FineFigureFio Tue 25-Jan-05 09:41:03

pmsl jan!

we still havent had any snow, it just windy and freezing ds said if it wasnt going to snow he would be happy with a snowman cake (?) but it had to have a nice scarf on ??!

JanH Tue 25-Jan-05 09:47:56

Cake sounds easier to manage than snow, fio! I hope you have a tiny scarf?

Kent often gets quite a lot of snow when it's around (more than we do anyway) so he might be lucky yet.

When we lived in NY we had one blizzard like the one they've just had - it buried our car!!! - but the timing was brilliant, it happened late on a Friday afternoon, people were sent home early and most of them made it OK, and we had a glorious sunny weekend to shovel in.

FineFigureFio Tue 25-Jan-05 09:51:15

sounds lovely jan I love snow, had to travel up to my mums on boxing day teo days earlier than planned so the kids could build a snowman! they were amazed by it

There are some brilliant picture of the 1963 (or was it 65?) freeze here. the sea actually froze

sparklymieow Tue 25-Jan-05 09:51:22

PMSL@ the 1cm of snow!! OMG!! quick we might get snowed in!!

JanH Tue 25-Jan-05 09:58:54

mieow, did you manage to see the pics in the end? There are 2 new ones this morning (no 1 and no 2).

sparklymieow Tue 25-Jan-05 10:00:33
