When I was pregnant and had gestational diabetes and worried about the size of my son I read that the biggest abby ever was over 20lbs and was born in Italy in the forties or fifties; so less likley to be a cs

Eugh, there's nothing cute about that newborn.

PIL went to a funeral of a distant relative, and learned from his eulogy that he was born 15lb - naturally!

That's almost three times the size of DS when he was born. And probably only about 6lb less than he is now (at 14 months)

My mother was 12lb at birth. Born at home, with no doctor or mw and no pain relief of any sort. Not surprisingly she was the last of her family
