JanH Tue 18-Jan-05 20:39:23

Tigger1 and Tigger2 with the cows and sheep?

Where've you been?

roisin Tue 18-Jan-05 20:42:41

Really - Tigger?! From Scotland? I often wonder where you disappeared off to!

Now you have to guess who everyone is on here, because nearly everyone - except Janh - has changed their name since then

JJ Tue 18-Jan-05 20:48:48

Tigger! Yay!

roisin Tue 18-Jan-05 20:51:44

We don't always take people on trust here these days, you'll have to prove who you are
We're expecting sparkling wit and repartee.

bluesky Tue 18-Jan-05 21:05:40

Hello hello welcome back, memories from days of old!

RTKangaMummy Tue 18-Jan-05 21:10:19

Are you going to say hello?

suedonim Tue 18-Jan-05 21:19:07

Is that really you, Tigger?? Was only thinking of you the other day and wondering where you'd got to! Welcome back!

And now you're here - can you tell me why it's got so difficult to buy British bacon? I can mostly only find Danish or Dutch in our shops, boo.

SofiaAmes Tue 18-Jan-05 21:24:57

Ohh I am glad you are back. I have lots of meat/milk questions for you.

Suedonim, try Morrisons, before our local store was taken over by Sommerfield they did have really nice cured BRITISH bacon. Morrisons also tend to stock more British produce than some other stores I have been in.

Zubb, we have 2 farms, 1000 Breeding Ewes, 140 Cows and followers, 4 Charolais Bulls, 1 Limousin Bull, 4 daft collie dogs, 3 demented cats, 2 children aged 9 & nearly 8, 1 husband, and over 2500 acres of ground.

SofiaAmes, fire away girl, if I can't help I will get happy (DH) to answer any questions

News from the Tigger hoose, still working away, kids growing up so fast, now have a small herd of Pedigree Charolais cows (3) and Simmentals (2)as well. Price of our produce still makes my hair stand on end, and the milk price is an absoloute joke, do you know that our kids are charged 14p for a tiny carton of milk 250mls, now that works out at 56p per litre, where in fact Dairy Farmers, many of whom are our friends are only getting between 16-18p per litre. Where do they get nearly 40p mark up from?

Oh nearly forgot, our first Charolais heifer calved before Xmas and now has a gorgeous heifer.

As usual must dash as he who thinks he should be obeyed has just shouted that I am required to help move 2 of the bulls, as they normally shake their heads at DH!, this is because I always feed them, don't blame them actually I shake my head at him now and again!

suedonim Fri 21-Jan-05 21:36:37

Ha - our Morrisons was changed to Somerfield this week!! It looks like I'll have to go and pignap one of the porkers that live in some fields near us, and cure my own bacon!

Lovely to hear about your farm, I always think your animals must be really happy ones.
