He will still only be about 23 months... bless him, he wont know what's hit him! He is a bit spoilt at the mo I think . I will be announcing scan results (all being good I hope) tomorrow on Feb 08 antenatal thread and on multiples thread starting "d'ya ever..." so pop over and have a look. God I wont be able to sleep tonight with excitement!

Not that I knew of. But since telling him about mine, my dad says "oh, my grandmother and great uncle were twins". Hmmm, thanks for the warning!!

Grrr, DS is awake from nap so have to go. What little one(s) do you have?

Oooh, mine are non identical. I was really pleased as it is less risky, but I do think identical are so very cute when small, and must be fab if you really look alike, so you can play tricks on everyone. Apparently identical twins are a lottery and can happen to anyone, but non identical twins run in families, but only on the mother's side (so I am told!).

yes that's right. partners Mum thinks she had twins 'cause she has twis in her family but like you said it can happen to anyone she won't have it though. i read that dads you have twins on their side can pass it on to daughters

Indeed indeed, dad's can pass it on to daughters, but not more likely to father twins themself.

Anyway, good news, all was well at scan, and it is A BOY AND A GIRL! Hurrah!
