Ok i know there are bigger problems in the world, but the BBC wants to cut its Newsround bulletins from CBBC and move them onto its website and i'm livid. in this day and age, our children need to be more informed, not less, and newsround does this in a way that is appropriate to their mental and emotional state, so it's a vital service. Please sign my petition and share!

Signed. I think you need to ask @MNHQ to move this somewhere with more traffic though.

Rather than signing the petition, it would suggest responding to the consultation at www.ofcom.org.uk/consultations-and-statements/category-3/bbc-childrens-change-operating-licence.

Personally, given that the age group Newsround targets is watching less television (on average only 17% of them will watch television in any given week) and consuming more internet (90% of them claim to use the internet), I think that doubling the amount of online content and reducing the amount of broadcast content is reasonable. But, if you disagree, responding to the consultation is far more likely to be effective than signing a petition.

I'm glad you've started a petition. I emailed the BBC to complain at the weekend but I'll add my name to this too.

That Ofcom consultation is shocking. I barely understand the questions Angry. Something in plain English would have been better.
