TBH I would try and get a hotel or B&B other wise it may be a roll mat on a school hall floor. Of course everyone will be trying to get accomodation

Apparantly one of the supermarkets has stranded shoppers!! Of all the places to be stranded by floods, you can't get much better than that eh?

Can't get much up to date news. Anyone know what the local radio station is?

Thanks Skribble, they're now in the village hall. Had a cup of tea and a biscuit Brit solution to everything. No blankets or anything to lie on however, but they're just glad to be dry!

Skribble Fri 20-Jul-07 23:44:16

Ach she'll have them singing the White cilffs of dover before sunrise

Skribble Fri 20-Jul-07 23:44:37

Aren't the WRVS wonderful .

RedTartanLass Sat 21-Jul-07 00:03:58

Do you think that's who it is? WRVS? A coachload has just arrived, so sounds like it's getting a busy!

I'm meant to be taking aunt to Gatwick tomorow....double eek

RedTartanLass Sat 21-Jul-07 00:04:25

Coachload of flood victims not WRVS lol

Skribble Sat 21-Jul-07 00:06:08

WRVS always do tea and biscuits in emergencies, come nuclear war you'll still get tea and biscuits down the church hall honest, they'll be kitted out in anti radiation suits with their pearls on the outside.

my inlaws who stay in evesham while they're over here landed on my doorstep (by bham airport) saying they'd been evacuated from their caravan site on teh banks of the river

to be honest im tempted to look for cheap flights back to spain for them as the weather has been shite since they;'ve been here. Cant imagine what fun they;re having.

your dh and aunt should have called in on us. we have an airbed

RedTartanLass Sat 21-Jul-07 00:07:27

RedTartanLass Sat 21-Jul-07 00:09:01

JammyPotter Sat 21-Jul-07 00:15:52

inlaws are staying here til tomorrow when they are then off to derby to stay with FIL's sister. They said the roads around evesham are terrible. It took them 4.5 hours to travel what is normally 45 mins

whe3re is your aunt going?

JammyPotter Sat 21-Jul-07 00:20:04

im a bit worried about my sisters house. she lives literally over the river from warwick castle and they are on hols. They have a cellar which floods anyway in heavy rain. Anyone know if the river at warwick is flooded? i may go there tomorrow to assess it

RedTartanLass Sat 21-Jul-07 00:20:31
