You go girl!

(BP are saying now she didn't, but you can see she did

WendyWeber Thu 12-Jul-07 12:25:59

Oh, they've cut that from what was there earlier.

Try sky

Poor old Queenie. Telling her to take off her tiara because it's "too much" with the Order of the Garter... what an idiotic request. It's supposed to be formal!

aloha Thu 12-Jul-07 12:28:39

But she is such a miserable old trout!

LittleLupin Thu 12-Jul-07 12:33:00

well, I like her, and when I see her on Tuesday, I shall give her a big hug

One is not amused

GreengottsTheGoblinBank Thu 12-Jul-07 12:38:48

Gah, lots of old women are grumpy and irrational.

LittleLupin Thu 12-Jul-07 12:40:51

I am becoming Dame Lapin. <smiles graciously at plebs>

Nah, just a garden party. I doubt we'll get within 50 feet of the family, but I'm looking forward to having a nosy round the grounds.

LittleLupin Thu 12-Jul-07 12:41:27

Greeny, liked your "gah" there, you do that very well...

MarsLady Thu 12-Jul-07 12:48:29

I love the Queen

HuwEdwards Thu 12-Jul-07 12:49:44

Beeb have apologised - apparently the clip looks like she flounced off and the Beeb certainly said she did, but apparently she didn't.

SueBaroo Thu 12-Jul-07 13:17:20

Queenie rocks! I loves her, I do.

SueBaroo Thu 12-Jul-07 13:18:16

Take orf my tiara? One is not about to downsize the bling, dear gel.

WendyWeber Thu 12-Jul-07 13:27:25

According to one report, the footman carrying the train had to scamper to keep up with her - but maybe that's just her normal speed in the palace corridors (does she use Heelies? I think we should be told)

LittleLupin Thu 12-Jul-07 13:32:44

ROFL! what a mental image!

Eliza2 Fri 13-Jul-07 14:28:01

Only she didn't flounce out--the BBC embroidered that part. And if you watch the Youtube excerpt (available via The Guardian) she sounded put out, but not as furious as some have made out.

She was fed up because she had to have her hair specially done for the coronet and had to wear all the robes - and then the photographer asked her to take the coronet off! I think you are entitled to get hacked off when you are 81 and have done the job for 55 years.
